Typical cozy provincial looking restaurant, right in the center of town amongst many other cute places. We got the fixed lunch menu, 15 euro salad, fish, rice and vegetable, but beware, my husband’s portion was ok, but my portion looked as if it were a cast off from a previous customer. When we complained about it, the waitress first pretended not to understand English (she used English fine to take the order), then my husband complained in fluent French and she replied “What do you expect we’re in St. Tropez”. If you want to go to a nice place, eat at the place next door after the soap shop; the local merchants eat there.

There are so many good places to eat in St. Tropez so stay away from this place. Service is really bad, the food was simple and cold (had to send it out again and they put it in the micro owen). The waitress almost got angry when we asked for some mustard to the french fries and so on. The turkey was dry and came only with french fries, not a tomato or anything.

Stopped by in a hurry as the one we were supposed to go to closed lunch earlier than expected.

Restaurant La Citadelle occupies a corner position on the street leading down from St. Tropez's fortress. It's a great position to attract people, but the restaurant doesn't quite live up to its promise. Salads were disappointing - small and tasteless. I wasn't quite sure that the Caesar sauce was anything that would be recognized by other chefs who prepare Caesar salads. The mixed grill that arrived featured undercooked chicken and gristle-filled steak, not to mention the cold frites, surely a speciality of the house! The highlight of the meal were the coffees, which were at least hot when served. I'm sure that this restaurant has better days when the salads are tasteful and the chicken doesn't threaten salmonella, but it wasn't on the day that we visited. Such is life!

the worst culinary experience in the whole area. in most of france's factory canteens you get more refined food; at least better warmed over after having been pulled out of the freezer (half frozen olive pie). but what makes this place really a black spot in lovely st. tropez is the arrogant service, that does not take interest in clients complaints but simply serves you the bill. Better avoid this!

We were happy to have a manu in that typical restaurant in the old town of St-tropez.
The menu was very good, ratio vlaue/price more than perfect!
