Description: The original Tarte Tropézienne is a combination of two velvety creams used to fill a delicious brioche cake with its generous coating of sugar grains. It owes its success to the traditional way in which it is crafted and its original recipe kept jealously secret. La Tarte Tropézienne is also the brand that promises traditional pastry-making excellence to all the lovers of irresistible desserts. Matchless and always unique.

I had a mini tarte tropezienne and it was very yummy. Not too sugary; a super iconic pastry that is loved by many!

... its not the most sophisticated dessert, but its yummy and during our holiday we managed to sample both a whole slice, and some of the mini ones. La tarte tropezinne is a small chain, and we also visited the one in Ste Maxime for sandwiches. If you want a 'normal' as opposed to full on lunch in St Tropez this is a fab choice - the one on the square (there are two, maybe more in St Tropez itself) has a restaurant upstairs although we managed to get a seat downstairs. It had air con, and felt busy and vibrant. Tap water was forthcoming and the service was decent.

I saw the the parisian brunch of this restaurant in St Germain, and quite honestly looked tired an unappealing. So to my great surprise, I had lunch at the branch located on Place des Lices and it was amazing, the place itself is warm and inviting, the dining room is upstairs and it was packed. Lots of wood, warm colored plaster on the walls, and a general good vibe. Sort of authentic and charming, something that St Tropez is really lacking nowadays.
Downstairs you have the bakery itself, which showcases sweets and sandwiches to die for, included the infamous tarte tropezienne.
Had a great salmon salad, and no dessert as I do not fit in my bathing suit anymore.
Enjoy

The original Tarte Tropezienne is located not too far from the central square in Saint-Tropez.
There you can taste the original tarte tropezienne which is simply wonderful if you like sweets.
You can buy the entire cake or just a slice to take away... anyway just enjoy it!

Wonderful location for Brunch. Delicious pastries don't leave without trying the Tarte Tropezienne and a good espresso. Lovely staff very attentive and give recommendations depending on what you feel like eating. Very nice location and tastefully decorated, makes you feel cozy and hungry.
