Description: The original Tarte Tropézienne is a combination of two velvety creams used to fill a delicious brioche cake with its generous coating of sugar grains. It owes its success to the traditional way in which it is crafted and its original recipe kept jealously secret. La Tarte Tropézienne is also the brand that promises traditional pastry-making excellence to all the lovers of irresistible desserts. Matchless and always unique

We only went for coffee and tart, just to take break from icecream. The tart was incredible, not as sweet as it looks, the cream very tender. Accompanied with coffee it made great desert. The seating downstairs is basic, but would not expect more from bistro/coffee shop. We have tried tarte tropezziene in other patisseries, but this was by far the best.

I had heard about La Tarte Tropezienne from a Rick Steves guidebook so when I was in St-Tropez last week I walked in to town from my cruise ship to try the heralded treat. It was easy to find. I bought a Frambois (raspberry) tarte and shared it at tea with friends...but the REAL treat was the fresh almond croissants. To die for!!!!

We knew we had to try the tarte from the original shop and decided to have lunch first. The lunch was good typical fare, the aioli being particularly good. The tarte was wonderful, a rare case when the expectation was met. Service was excellent, the restaurant was delightful.

Little bistro where you can eat a typical food, the Tarte Tropezienne, it's like a vanilla pie with some chantilly on top. Don't miss it !

My first food near St Tropez (thanks goodness, not typical) and a real disappointment. To heat your tart yourself in a microwave is not so good and I find plastic knives and forks bad enough on a plane. Not what Provence does best.
