“Easy way to get to St Tropez spoiled by rude staff”

Traveling to Saint Tropez by boat from Sainte Maxine is much easier than driving. There's a car park at the port and it's a short walk to the pier.

The boats are great - comfortable and quick and offer great views.

Coming into St Tropez Harbour and getting views of both the old town and the superyachts close up was great.

Our return journey was spoiled by a rude female employee. She wasn't just having a bad day but was being deliberately obnoxious and got even worse when she realisefd my wife was more than capable of giving as good as she got in French.

We took the 9:30 boat from st Raphael to St Tropez. Tickets purchased at 9 am same morning. We paid 25 for a two way ticket with a set time for our return (15:30). There were quit aime people to get on the boat but it is spacious and we had free choice of where to sit.mfirst we sat up front but the waves made the boat rock a little too hard for my taste, so we sat in the back for the other half of the trip. The views of St Tropez from the water are amazing. First you see the Citaldel and a bit later the city. Real nice trip.
On our way back we were there 20 minutes early and enjoyed the ride back in about 50 minutes total.

St Tropez was fun, inwas surprized by it, of course there is a lot of expensive show off. But also cute little streets and of course the old police station where Louis de Funes is re-enacted by a local in 'old' police uniform.

All in all we had a great day!

Good to know: no restroom on the boat!

When going to St Tropez in the holiday season, the best way to arrive there is by boat. From many of the neighbouring coastal towns you can get a shuttle - e.g. one of the Bateaux verts.
We have taken the shuttle - a fast green "navette" - several times to and from St Tropez from Les Issambres. The crossing takes less than 30 minutes, the view of the town is excellent, and prices are fair. Remember to book or buy tickets in advance - otherwise you may have to wait for an extra hour. Tickets can be bought online or at the quay.

A busy weekend and the prospect of driving round the coast to St. Tropez from St. Maxime and then searching for a place to park seemed daunting enough until the idea of Les Bateaux Verts was recommended to us by a local resident. An exhilarating 15 minute trip (other coastal town links exist) and there we were - delivered right on the quay in the heart of St. Tropez with freedom to explore and dine as long as we wished in relaxed fashion. The adult fee is €13.50 return with departures from both ports every 20 minutes - for our requirements, a good deal and worthy of consideration.
