We stayed in this hotel 8 days during summer holliday in July. Staff was very nice and helpfull. Nice neihborhood. Clean and comfortable rooms. Tasty breakfats.
Very nice undergrund parking (but little bit expensive).
- Free Wifi
nice hotel, so many friendly and usefull staff, good location to dawntawn and beach, perfect parking, cleaning is ok. We really enjoyed the concerts in front of the hotel
The breakfest is relatively poor, it is the lack of vegetables.
We moved out from a horrible hotel called Pyramides (one block from this one) and the difference was enormous. The room was not ready when we arrived but we were shown a place where we could place our things and change to go to the beach on the meantime.
This is a nice Hotel, clean, comfortable, and with many things you would expect from a 4 stars hotel at a fair price.
The hotel is only the first floor, from outside it looks like ti was the whole building, but that is OK. The breakfast was a great deal for 15 euros and very complete. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, the bathroom too.
In the room you could find a minibar and on top of it a water boiler with two cups and instant coffee and tea, very useful for occasionally wanting a coffee without leaving the room. It had an individual AC so we could configure it at our pleasure and a nice place to put all our cloths.
We could ask for clean towels for the beach for free everyday, this was very comfortable!
Carolina at the front desk was really polite and helpful, we were very happy to find her there. But the guy that stayed on the weekend was not polite and not very helpful. We were doing the checkout and he just started talking over the phone without giving us any feedback if everything was OK or not.
There is a little space for improvement:
- After returning from the beach the day we arrived, we said our room number to a person we never seen before at the front desk and without validating anything from our part he gave us the key. So anybody could just ask for the key of any room?
- Knowing that we were from abroad, we would have expected a comment from the hotel about a fireworks show that was going to take place on Sunday night in front of the hotel. We missed it because nobody told us anything and we don't speak French! A simple note in the room or comment saying that an event was going to take place would have been nice :(
- The WiFi was kind of awkward, several networks with several different SSID´s and passwords, I am an IT person and I know that this could easily be solved with better infrastructure routers. Just place a couple of good Cisco routers and you can have only one network name without too many hassles, a good IT consultant could help with this ;)
We recommend this place, it was very nice, comfortable and very well located in front of the beach! :)
We stayed one week at Hotel Continental one Week mid June. Nothing at all to complain about and good value for money based on location and quality vs pricing.
Windows are as promised practicly sound proof, and those who dont agree, should consider an Hotel in the Countryside instead of here. Situated right on the beach with very nice Restaurants in all categories near by. I am a bit picky when it comes to hotels, and would normally go for a five star, but what Hotel Continental offered me was more than good enough for me. I will come back.
I rank this hotel well above any place I have stayed in a long time. Friendly, smiling, helpful staff. And it seemed that everyone could do every job. The room was very clean...with obvious attention to detail. Everything very fresh. Easy to use WiFi. As the leader of a group, we booked many rooms and all our clients were universally happy and commented on how much they liked the hotel....not one negative comment!
This hotel surpassed our expectations, the location is literally opposite a sandy beach, the staff were very helpful the room was huge, it was a little piece of luxury, being a petrol head I was worried about parking my car but it has an under ground garage with individual parking spaces. We had a room with a sea view which was great. The hotel only does breakfast which gives you a big choice in food including bacon and scrabbled egg if you have had enough of the usual petit dejeuner, there are many resturant's close by so the lack of an evening meal in the hotel was not a problem, if you do go to Saint Raphael by car don't forget to drive the coast road from there to Nice and back it's a great day out (BUT NOT IN JULY OR AUGUST)
