“Beautiful small hotel with excellent service”
Reviewed January 22, 2010

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Les Vergers for 5 days as part of our honeymoon and it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Situated within walking distance (10 mins) from Saint-Paul, which is an amazing place in itself, Hotel Les Vergers sits on the side ofthe hills over looking Nice and the Med.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff at the hotel were very helpful and you got the feeling they would go out of their way to make sure you received what you wanted. During our stay we stayed in 2 rooms - a standard double room, which although small was very well furnished and had a balcony with views over the sea, and a suite which was much larger and boasted a walk in wardrobe, double shower, whirlpool bath, living area, fridge and a terrace to sit outside. Both rooms were great and very clean.

As the hotel is small the pool area is very quiet, in fact during our stay there we were usually the only people around the pool. This didn't stop the staff ensuring the area was regularly cleaned and stocked with fresh towels and cushions.

One some of the reviews there are comments on the lack of fridges in the rooms. Although I could see the benefit in this we never saw this as a problem as hotel reception were only a call away and they were able to provide you with hot and cold drinks on demand.

All in all we had a wonderful time and I am sure we will be going back again and again.

This was excellent in many ways; Nice room, great location, good pool, clean, very helpfull and friendly staff.
A nice stroll up the hill gets you to the lovelty village of St Paul, 10 minutes max, lots to see and do and easy to access the cost but in a peaceful location. You can also go up into the mountains and the staff have many good ideas for days out. Highly recommended and exceeded our expectations.

My husband and I recently returned from Provence and the Cote d'Azur in France and had the great pleasure to stay at Les Vergers de Saint Paul in Saint Paul de Vence, France...it was a wonderful stay! The hotel is absolutely charming, The grounds are lovely and there is a beautiful pool where one can lounge and relax. The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast in the morning is delightful. The desk people, Rachel and Shelly were most friendly and helpful and the owners, Jacques and Odette, couldn't be nicer! We plan to return to this area next year and will definitely stay here. I highly, without reservation, recommend Les Vergers de Saint Paul!

My best freind and I had a great stay at the Vergers. This hotel is quaint and super relaxing. Nestled right next to the Village if St Paul the location was perfect to tour the Cote D'azur and rest at night. The hotel owner was extremly nice in altering our reservation given a change of circumstance in our stay and also in providing recommendations. The place is very well kept and super clean... the only caveat were the bathroom showers were there were no standing due to the low shower head.I would highly recommend this hotel as the pool time was fantastico!!!

We have just returned from a four night break at Hotel Les Vergers de Saint-Paul and had the most relaxing time. The room we had was spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool and very effective air conditioning which was very welcome as the average temperature was 34 degrees! The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was a problem for them. Our only issue was that we only had a shower head which had to be hand held but that would not stop us returning to the hotel. The sooner the better!!! The villages of St Paul and Vence are amazing with their small streets and if you want the hussle and bustle, Nice is so close.

We had the pleasure of staying at Les Vergers for a week in July. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from St Paul de Vence and within easy reach of the coast, Nice Airport etc. We stayed in one of their suites on the ground floor which had a shady patio facing the swimming pool. The suite was very spacious with a fabulous modern bathroom with jacuzzi and a great shower.

Les Vergers operates more as a B and B than as a traditional hotel, (but none the worse for that) the breakfasts were great and drinks were available throughout the day/evening. The service was very warm and friendly at all times.

Would highly recommend for a very relaxing break. The restaurants in Saint Paul which we enjoyed the most were Le Tilleul and Caruso, and in Vence Les Templiers was excellent.

My wife and I ended up staying 5 nights at the Hotel Les Vergers on our honeymoon after being massively disappointed by another hotel. From the moment we arrived we were so happy we decided to move on as Hotel Les Vergers was simply everything you could ever want from a romantic and relaxing hotel.

Hotel Le Vergers is located in the hills overlooking Nice (only a 20 mins drive from Nice Airport) and a short walk to the walled hill top village of St Paul de Vence - which is the most unbelievably beautiful village I have ever been to.

some reports have questioned the service at Hotel Les Vergers and it is impossible to see the comparison between those reports and the unending quality and helpful service we received from all staff at the hotel. What you don't get is a 24 hr room service but this isn't a city break hotel so it is not something you expect. Also some of the rooms do not have a mini bar, although you only have to ask at reception and you can recieve a beer, soft drink, coffee, etc in your room or at pool side.

During our stay we stayed 3 nights in a standard double room with balcony and 2 nights in a suite. The standard double rooms are quite small, which is the norm for Europe, but done out in a modern and classy way. Also if you get a room with a balcony you will be treated to some breath taking views out to sea and over looking Nice. There are some larger double rooms available, some with large terrace areas if you want some more privacy while taking in the sun.

The suites were stunning and included a walk in wardrobe, fridge, double sink, jacuzzi, double shower, queen size bed and terrace area. Although relatively expensive I would highly recommend getting a suite if you want to treat yourself.

The hotel pool is also a massive plus. It is only a small hotel so the pool was never busy and there was never a problem in getting a sun bed, which you can get in some hotels. Cusions, towels and parasols are also on plentiful supply to allow for complete comfort.

I do not usually stay at hotels more than once as I like to take in other experiences but I am sure I will be visiting Hotel Les Vergers again and again and with it being so easily accessable from Nice Airport it is ideal for a long weekend away.

what adds to the special experience of Hotel Les Vergers is the proximity of St Paul de Vence. The village is based about 10 mins walk away and is a maze of narrow cobbled streets, full of art galleries, cafes, restaurants and some of the best views the French Riviera can offer.
