“medieval fun”

Great, ancient streets. Wonderful food (La Hotel St. Paul). Bought some really nice and reasonably priced jewelry. Wonderful wine cave (for purchases of exotic wine).

“A Great Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

St Paul De Vence is a cute hilltop village with great views. There are also many great shops and restaurants to visit. Best place for nice souvenirs from Provence. Wear comfy shoes because there are many uphill streets and the pavement is uneven. It is a crowded town, seems to be a big tourist bus stop. Not sure if there is a better time or day of the week to be there. Maybe afternoon??

“A delightful "perched" village”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

No doubt, on an excursion to Monaco, you will be encouraged to visit Eze, a perched village. Eze is fine, although the climb up can be tortuous, but I can thoroughly recommend Saint-Paul de Vence.
This perched village is easy to get up to, has a lovely atmosphere, although the only occupation of the locals seems to be running shops for the tourist.
The views of the surrounding countryside are stunning, and Matisse's grave is here (after a visit to his museum in Nice, it completes the story).
Finish the visit with a quiet drink in the Cafe de la Place, watching the numerous games of boulle. The tension and excitement may get to you, but another drink will soon put that right.

If you are around Nice, you should definitely go see this small cute village with many original shops and a terrific scenery up on the mountain! Lovely!

“Great Place For Pictures”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

This place i had never heard about it before and was so impressed when we visited as the view is just oustanding and would sure like to return once again as our tour guide was in a rush not to get caught in traffic when he would bring us back to the hotel as we only had about 45 minutes to visit this tiny place ...
