St Paul is very, very picturesque, even a little cutesy (or twee). It is actually a historic hill town and has the usual narrow, winding, up-and-down streets and alleys. Everything is spotlessly clean and beautifully restored and maintained. But it's really not much more that a shopping mall installed into a beautiful old hill town, full (really full) of day-trippers and coach groups.

I can see the attraction - a very sweet village. However there seems to be no real life here - only tourists and galleries. It lacks the feel of a real functioning village. It was already crowded in late April and early May. I hate to think what it would be like in June and July.

This was one of my favourite towns I visited during my stay on the Riviera. There are plenty of small shops to have a look at - mostly art related. This is what the town is famous for. As a photographer, I had many opportunities with some fantastic views and contrasting light. Well worth a visit.

Pretty out of town adventure for cheap, just 1euro bus trip.. Nice scenic views.. Not much else to do but the town has a lot of artist shop if your into that.. We pretty much just walk around, got some lunch and gelato.. The town has a long stone wall surrounding it..making it very unique

Hidden in Provence in France and obscured by the Azure coast is this little lost village called Saint Paul. This hosts one of the best preserved medieval bastions I ever seen. The bastion and the village itself deserves a visit there, but you'll get more: a high view over the french riviera and a countless number of charming art exhibitions and shops which will delight your eyes and made you return once again.
In a single word: wonderful! It just saved our trip on the Azure coast which was very disappointing until we found this small marvel.
