Such a beautiful hotel , so well maintained and a fabulous setting . The staff were very attentive and the rooms were lovely even the rooms at the front of the building were great with an inland view and the railway near by wasnt a problem , just very expensive drinks .

We have stayed at the Royal Riviera for a week. It was our first time there and the hotel was a very good choice. The location is very nice with a fantastic view. We had two rooms connected which the rooms were very clean and very well presented. One thing I would say about the room would be that they should have a bigger wardrobe. Also our rooms were right by the railway line so you can often hear the train go by so try to ask the hotel to get a room away from the road.
The restaurant staff and the pool/beach staff were very efficient, friendly and offered top class service. (Pool/beach staff especially!) The food at the main restaurant was very nice and the bar staff were very friendly too. The one thing that bothered me was the General Manager who does seem to roam around during the day to say "Hello" but mostly to what it looks like the repeaters. We did not get a "Hello" on our first day although he did pass us but went straight to the people who he seems to know. I was monitoring this throughout out stay but it was pretty much the same every day. It's a shame as all the other staff of the hotel are very friendly and courteous whether you are a first time guest or a repeater.

There are two marinas, walking distance from the hotel and there are shops and parade of restaurants which is very nice. If you walk to the centre of Beaulieu Sur Mer, there are few cafes that you can enjoy breakfast as breakfast at the hotel is very expensive (€35).

Overall we had a great time there - not in a hurry to go back but one day we might do.

Dear Guest,
We thank you very much for your time in sharing your experience at the Royal Riviera. We're delighted to read that you've enjoyed your stay with us. I am very sorry I did not say “hello” to you as I usually do it with every guest and not only repeaters. We do our best with Eric (deputy manager) to greet and meet every guest during their stay but when the hotel is full with 200 guests every day like it is during high season, it makes it sometimes difficult. Courtesy and friendliness are part of the culture of the entire team, including me.
I will be pleased to personally take care of your next stay, so please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Please again, accept my apologies.
We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Hotel very soon.
Yours Sincerely,
Bruno Mercadal

we've booked via American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts and were of the firm belief to have booked a suite there, only to learn that we had booked a premium room. This was a little bit uncomfortable to start with but the friendly staff made us forgot quickly. First night we had room service dinner because we arrived late and the food was excellent. Probably better than in some of the pricey restaurants in the surroundings. The breakfast is buffet and you can always order special wishes and the staff also here is very helpful and friendly. If you want to go for a walk, you are very close to the center of the little village/town of St. Jean and if you want to walk a bit farther, you can reach a nice little marina with many dining opportunities in about half an hour. The bathroom was ok but nothing special, though very clean. The beach close to the hotel (60 sec walk down a little walkway and stairs) is of little stones and not so nice if you have seen really nice sand beaches. So we preferred to stay at the pool, which our 4yr-old enjoyed to the fullest. The massage at the spa was also ok-good. Again: best part was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Being new to the area, we thought we'd be closer to Nice, but that was our own fault of not researching it better.

Loved this hotel. Beautifully appointed. Excellent food on the terrace restaurant. Perfect location on the Riviera at Cap Ferrat. The exercise suite is rubbish, but who goes to Cap Ferrat to run on a treadmill. The pool is very pleasant, with good service. My wife and I had a Mountain View room, which was small etc. but really well appointed - excellent bathroom. Delicious welcome marcarons were quickly devoured.

We had the most amazing time at the Royal Riviera Hotel. We booked this hotel through our Virtuoso representative. From the moment we arrived, we were given total VIP service. I love that this is more of a boutique hotel. I cannot stress enough how friendly, accommodating, and helpful the staff was! When we arrived, our check-in was quick and easy. The manager of the hotel offered to give us a tour of the grounds and we gratefully accepted! The hotel grounds are small and beautifully maintained. It is situated right on it's own private beach with a paved walking path surrounding it. The landscaping is lush and the jasmine smelled delicious! After our tour, the manager showed us our room. We were upgraded to a Deluxe Room that was recently renovated. The room was bright, clean, and beautiful. We requested a room with a balcony and were told that unfortunately they weren't able to accommodate us. HOWEVER, I feel it's very important to point out that most if not all of the rooms have 2 sets of floor to ceiling doors that open up to a "Juliette Balcony." It's just big enough to step out on, which was good enough for us! We had a beautiful view of the pool and the sea. It was perfect! We also received a welcome gift and 2 complimentary massages just for booking through Virtuoso (would definitely recommend it!) The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was even a bottle of pillow spray that was included that smells amazing! The bathroom has a large double vanity with a combo tub/shower and a separate room for the toilet/bidet. The robe and slippers that are provided are very luxurious. There is also plenty of closet space.

The food was really good. We ordered room service a few times and also went down and had the breakfast buffet on the terrace. The view is hard to beat! The chocolate croissants were the best I've ever had. I'm still dreaming about them today! We also had a couple drinks at the bar in the evenings. It’s very sophisticated without being pretentious. The pool is beautiful and clean and the chairs were clean and comfortable. We didn't eat at the pool restaurant but we did have a couple beverages from the bar and they were excellent. The private beach includes chairs and umbrellas and water sports are available, although we didn't participate in any of those. We did use the spa and each got a massage. They were wonderful and the spa is small but beautiful! We absolutely loved the location of this hotel. Even though its address is Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, it is literally steps from Beaulieu Sur Mer. This beautiful little town is so clean and so beautiful! I wish we would have had more time to explore the shops downtown. We were able to walk down to the marina for dinner one evening. The concierge (who was so, so wonderful) suggested several different restaurants throughout our stay. He even suggested and got reservations for us at the famous Joel Robuchon in Monaco.

There is no question that I would absolutely 100% stay here again in a heartbeat. We had the most amazing experience and we look forward to returning again....hopefully sooner than later!
