Just returned from a 5 day stay at the Royal Riviera. It is comparable to and in fact exceeds many of the 5 star hotels I have stayed at around the world. The property is beautiful and situated on an excellent part of the French Riviera. Although we had a car and there certainly are great drives (try the Grand Corniche to Eze and Monaco), there are easy walks from the hotel to the Cape (beautiful views of the sea) and a multitude of fine restaurants. The local train station is also an easy walk and a care-free way to access Nice and Monaco.
Our room was spacious, modern and very comfortable. The pool area is excellent and the private, sandy beach a bonus. The breakfast buffet has everything you could think of (certainly more than you need) and is good value. We had one dinner at the hotel restaurant which was remarkable and the service excellent without being intrusive. Considering that we had spent 10 days in France, dining at some very fine reastaurants, this was probably our best meal. The staff at the hotel really are very friendly and accommodating. Would return to this outstanding hotel without hesitation.More
