The cemetery is split by denomination / faith and have very elaborate and stylized tombs and graves. Many interesting inscriptions and fantastic opportunities for photos, especially if the weather is interesting. I went with my kids (13 and 7) who found it very interesting. I enjoyed the visit and would suggest this as a great free thing to do in Nice.

This cemetery is an out-of-the-ordinary experience. The tombs are highly elaborate and many have sculptures more often found in museums. The cemetery and immediate surroundings also provide absolutely stunning views of the Baie de Nice and Promenade des Anglais, and beyond, as well as the rooftops of the city. Also worth a visit, is the nearby cascade and chateau ruins which provide an even better panorama and an open space for kids to play.

If you are able to see the beauty of the stone sculptures and respect the traditions you should spent at least half an hour to walk around this area. These graves look like they were part of a museum.
