I would probably consider flying from Halifax, Canada to Nice again just to go back to this wonderful restaurant. I have been to this establishment on two occasions and each time if was a wonderful experience. If someone said, I will take you to any restaurant on the planet, this would be my choice.

We were greeted with wonderful service-- a dedicated server to explain the menu to us in English, and a knowledgeable sommelier who helped us pick the perfect wine. My husband enjoyed the foie gras while I the cheese plate, but I was most impressed with a simple, but impressive!, pasta dish. They prepared my pasta by tossing it while still hot in a giant parmesan wheel dosed with cognac and sage; not only was it fun to watch, but it was simply delicious!
The restaurant itself has an inviting and warm atmosphere; don't pass this place by!

We spotted this place in Trip Avisor and all of the reviews were either five or four star. So we booked and found it to live up to all of the comments. The staff were fun, energic and helpful. The atmosphere has a family feel but with a hint on intimacy if you want a quiet corner to yourselves.

We had great French food and the wine was chosen for us by the waiter. We suggest you try that, he offered us an organic wine from the Loire which was fantastic and only 22 euro!

What an outstanding meal. Some of the freshest and most delicious cheeses and meats in town. The cellar of the restaurant is an ambience like no other. The owner was completely hands on and accommodating. We entrusted him to our wine selection and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Large portions and attentive service, hard to think of any missed steps at our meal. While we were getting our check the owner even poured and joined us for an after dinner drink on the house. An unassuming front to the restaurant but once inside you get the feeling that this could be fun.

Finding a really great restaurant in Old Nice (or Nice itself...) can be a challenge. We found this restaurant via Tripadvisor, made a reservation ( Monday night...) and showed up. This is the restaurant experience you read about and wish you could have had yourself.

The ambience is wonderful, the staff are young and extremely enthusiastic, and the food is sublime. The best ingredients cooked with care in the simplest way. Everything was just perfect, the aromas and textures obviously very carefully created to make an intensely enjoyable experience. Our meal, including a bottle of very enjoyable Rhone syrah (Bric a Bric - order it!!!), was 79 euros for two starters, two mains, wine, and mineral water. There is an obvious passion here, and you will be the better of for dropping by. Do make a reservation though - you would regret missing out on this gem of a restaurant.
