Unlike most of the UK on the night of 25 December where everything is closed, French city centres are full of life, with plenty of restaurants open. One such place is La Voglia. We stopped there by chance and although it was busy we were quickly found a table. Maybe we were just lucky or those who've submitted negative views were unlucky, but we couldn't fault the food or the service. The former was excellent and the latter attentive and courteous. We had to wait a while for our main course, but, hey, it was because the food was freshly cooked. Would definitely go back.. A final thought. La Voglia did not have any of those annoying touts who try to attract customers in popular areas of many continental cities, but in our case only succeed in making us vow never, ever to set foot in their establishment. If only they realised that touting actually loses potential customers.
