This is a charming and well appointed luxury B&B and we could have not have hoped for more welcoming hosts nor a more beautiful setting.
It is a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside and seaside towns - Nice is 20-25minutes away - but a car is essential here as there are no bars or restaurants within walking distance.
There is a convenient "home deliver/order in" place for salads, wine and pizza which was very good value and we got to eat on the terrace looking out on the sunset.
The setting is so lovely we fond it difficult to tear ourselves away from the infinity pool and go anywhere!
Our room"Jasmine" was aptly named as the front was covered in the fragrant blooms and there was a huge bank of lavender nearby. The bed was big and comfy and the shower room quite spacious and very clean.
I've got no hesitation about recommending this place for a peaceful and beautiful break.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Villa Kilauea. We felt a deep peace and relaxation the moment we stepped into this beautiful, serene setting. We felt very cared for by Nathalie and Gerard, who are incredibly great people who always went the extra length to make our stay as nice and comfortable as possible. We have stayed at quite a few B&Bs and this one was absolutely one of the very best we have ever experienced, both in terms of the beauty and peacefulness of the place and surroundings and the warmth and caring of our hosts, Nathalie and Gerard.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rose room, which was lovely.

Lovely house, very calm and relaxing experience. Nathalie & Gerard are great hosts, taking care of all details. Everything was perfect ! It was my wife birthday and Nathalie surprises us gratefully when we return at the evening. It really nice to have breakfast with a great view to St Paul de Vence, beside the swimming pool !

Pros
- Gerard and Nathalie are 2 of the nicest people we have met in France. Spent a good first 15 minutes taking us through bus routes and places to visit as well as their favourite restaurants
- When I informed them that we didn't have a car, Gerard picked us up at the TGV station and then drove us to the TGV station 3 days later.
- The room was superb with a great view and very well decorated.
- Gerard and Nathalie were very easy to coordinate with via email or phone.

Cons
- None.

This is the best place to stay in Nice if you are looking for a place which is 20 minutes away from Promenade de Anglais via bus and prefer the peace and quiet. A breathtaking view every morning. I can't think of a single bad moment I had during my 3 day stay here.

Villa Kilauea is absolutely wonderful. A short drive from Nice into the hills, the house provides a gorgeous view of beautiful countryside and snow capped peaks. There is a real feeling of calm, combined with luxury surroundings and your host's overwhelming desire to make your stay as happy as possible. It is perfect for either relaxing by the pool, exploring the region or a combination of both.

The Cote d'Azur is insanely overbuilt, hectic, noisy and jammed with cars--but you don't want to miss seeing it all. This B&B makes the perfect base to do it from. First, you're away from all the craziness, high above it all, but only 15 minutes down the hill to Nice and the Promenade des Anglais. Second, your hosts, Nathalie and Gerard really care about you--how relaxed and comfortable you are, how usefully informed you are about the area's attractions and restaurants, and how to get there (and back). We were there for 3 nights. So many other reviewers praised the breakfasts, the pool, the rooms, the peace and quiet of the surroundings, even the dog...we agree with all of their 5 star comments. (The one nasty review made absolutely no sense to us.) Last, but certainly not least, is that it all came with a very fair price. Oh, one more thing: As we were leaving, I told Nathalie that our time there was perfect except that I never found an authentic Pan Bagnat (a kind of Salade Nicoise on a roll), so she told us to stop at La Socca on the way to the Nice airport: Incredible! The place itself is a time-warp, and the Pan Bagnat was folklore.

Perfect.

Peaceful retreat with chic rooms in a beautiful large and modern villa in an elevated position with a large garden and panoramic views.

Nathalie and Gerard have created an heaven with great attention to details.

We had the most relaxing and wonderful stay and the experience of true french hospitality. The breakfasts were a wonderful selection of french cheeses, jams, delicious pastries, fruits and freshly made eggs. Nathalie and Gerard provided details of wonderful places to eat and visit and made sure we got the best out of our holiday. They are knowledgeable about the area and are generous with their advice.

The rooms are clean, very well equipped and tastefully furnished.

We had a great time and can't wait to return
