“Lovely accommodation, breathtaking views, warm hosts, perfect location.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2011

We spent four nights at Villa Kilauea and had a wonderful time. The location, just 10 minutes outside Nice, was perfect for sightseeing and accessing everything in the area. Nathalie was a wonderful host – she asked what we were interested in then made her recommendations. They were 100% spot on and we had the most wonderful time driving through the villages and taking in the magnificent views, particularly from Gourdon, something we may well have missed if not for Nathalie’s recommendation. Florian, the lolly factory in Pont du Loup, was also a great recommendation and we’re still enjoying the fudge and jellies! Nathalie’s recommendation of Auberge du Redier, just up the road was another winner.
We stayed in the Rose Room, a lovely big area with spacious bathroom and plenty of room to move about. The verandah, with sun lounges, would be magic in warmer weather... such a great touch when the views are so beautiful.
Breakfast in the pool room was a real highlight each morning – I’m addicted to Nespresso! The room is bright and sunny, a perfect way to begin the day.
For those of us who enjoy cities but don’t really want to sleep in one, Villa Kilauea is a perfect choice. So close to everything yet so far away from the hustle bustle of Nice.

Our frist holiday with our 6 months old daughter became a real joy with Nathalie & Gerard. Their welcome was warm and sincere as they are the perfect hosts. We got a lot of good tips to go to, too much as the vacation in Villa Kilauea is too short anyway. During the trips we looked forward to peacefull atmosphere of the B&B to hang arround, during the night we looked forward to the excellent and allways different fully selfmade breakfast of Nathalie.
A lot of things to do in Nice and surroundings, so reserve your room quick because this B&B will be on a lot of people most wantend list !!

We stayed for three nights after our arrival from the United States in early September. Our room was just as advertised. The location is very relaxing and beautiful. The drive to Nice is easy and the directions we were given got us there without a problem. Nathalie and Gerard were perfect hosts. They suggested places to eat and seemed to be there when we wanted them and not there when we were happy to be alone. The breakfasts were great and eating them by the pool with the fantastic view was a real joy.

We stayed for three nights and it was a very good choice to explore Cote dAzur and Alpes Maritimes. Nathalie was very kind and inspired in recommending places to go to, not only the usual one. And her breakfast is great. The rooms are perfect and the whole villa, with the pool and the jacuzzi, is top quality and taste. The view is also great, although not facing the sea, but a beautiful valley. The location was perfect for us, very quiet and relaxing, almost afraid of talking, opposite to the way too crowded Cannes for example :) Just remember that you need a car - there seems to be a bus close by, but its not nice depending on it, and the car is perfect for exploring the region. Be sure to visit Eze Village especially, couldnt recommend it enough

Oh, and you will really love their dog :)

Room Tip: All the rooms are great and unique

Lovely villa in the surroundings of Nice (about 20 minutes) offering a magnificent view. The rooms are nicely decorated, climatized and very clean. The hosts, Nathalie and Gerard, are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is outstanding, especially the homemade cakes, sweets and bread offered by Nathalie. Thank you for the great time we had. We will come back for sure.

We had a wonderful stay in this villa just up in the hills from Nice.
You must have a car to stay here as you would otherwise be a bit stranded. There's plenty of room to park.
The family is very friendly and speak English. The rooms are very well decorated and of very good quality. The breakfast is homemade and very good.
There are just four rooms so you must book in good time to get a space.

We have never experienced a B&B with the service of a 5 star hotel before, but Villa Kilauea most certainly comes very close. Nathalie and Gerard make you feel very welcome in a beautiful surrounding. Their tips where to eat and go were perfect. And during breakfast I couldn't stop eating... with each morning fresh baked bread and several home made cakes and puddings.... We most certainly want to come back one day!
Warm greetings from Amsterdam, Patty & Rainer
