“Not horrible, but not very good either.”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

The rooms were clean, though very small, but all of the utilities worked well. I thought that the guys working at the front desk were fairly polite, though not overly friendly or anything. I suspect that this hotel hires some 3rd party services for food and housekeeping or something though, because these two areas were extremely weak.

We went there as two couples for a week, and the breakfast situation was ok most days, but absolutely horrible on a couple. Breakfast is over at 10, and we were there most days around 9:15. The juice was extremely watered down, but on most days there were good croissants and mostly what you would expect from a hotel breakfast. Coffee, juice, milk, yogurt, ham, cheese, croissants, baguettes, chocolate croissants, and cereal. One day though there was seriously no food except for 2 slices of cheese and some ham. Nothing else whatsoever, and no clean dishes either. I spoke to the guy at the front and he had a quick word with the staff in the kitchen, who brought out some more bread, cheese, and ham. A pack of teenagers of course rushed the table like a pack of rats and cleaned out all of the food, so we sat and waited for round two. It came after a while, and we used paper towels as plates and sat on the end of a table covered in dirty dishes and breakfast leftovers. To be fair, this was Bastille Day, but it was still a pretty horrible experience. The other days, breakfast was fine except for the watered down OJ.

We had no personal complaints about the cleaning, except that one day we got a knock on the door at 8:45am that woke us up and we had to tell the person to go away. There were no "occupied" things to hang on the doors or anything. The other couple though had a similar experience except the cleaning lady didn't wait to open the door. Knock and open at the same time onto the couple in bed waking up to a stranger barging into their hotel room -- not professional. This could be solved by simply telling the cleaning which rooms are occupied, and also by having something to hang on the door as well.

When we checked out, they let us store our luggage for the day while we explored the city some more, and called us a cab to the airport. Overall, the price and location were fine, but the breakfast and cleaning could really use some work.

We stayed in this hotel because we want to be near the railway station so that we can get to Monaco for the Grand Prix on the Saturday and Sunday with ease. The hotel was very close to the railway very easy to get to and from bypass or by train the bus from the airport drops you within a two minute walk to the hotel.

The amenities are basic at best the rooms aren't particularly well decorated and are something that you would expect to see in a film like the Bourne films ie slightly dishevelled dated and not much about them.

We only entertains breakfast one of three days we were at the hotel crossarms two choices of cereal and something that resembled hot food didn't really take our fancy so we ate out at many of the local cafe surrounding which were more than ample.

The hotel stuff were very poor are safe didn't work we asked if someone could look at it and despite being there three days noone came to look at it so we ended up walking our valuables in our case and hoping for the best.

If you're looking for a hotel to get your head down then this is the perfect place don't expect anything else so it is just a below youth hostel standards.

The most afwul hotel I have ever been to. Staff is very weird, don't say anything when you come in or go out. Toilet paper wasnt delivered, cleaners didn't clean the room properly. Same garbage on the floor than we came to hotel. The breakfast is not hygienic and very, very small. Very scary hotel and we were very scared that someone would robe us. The location is BAD! Full of drug dealers, alcholics and robbers. we almost get robbed there. The staff tried to hit us (we were two girls). The room wasn't ready when we came (3 pm). Room is small, dirty and unsafe. Please, take any other hotel than this!!!

Don't stay here unless there are no other hotels available. 183 euro per night for a postage stamp room in the attic that we were quoted 160 inc tax for on booking

Room Tip: Did not see any good rooms

Public areas of this hotel are ok decor wise,Bedroom we stayed in was very shabby, cigarette burns on bed cover and on stained carpet .Bathroom sink had a broken plunge stopper we asked for it to be fixed,it wasnt while we were there. Shower cubicle was small and water leaked out and flooded floor any time shower was used.We had a problem with the swipe card for our door, any time we wanted to get into our room we had to go back down to reception and get the card re activated ,we were given silly excuses as to why it wasnt working. Breakfast was just about ok ,staff in breakfast room rather surly, no good morning or any other pleasantries. On a positive note the location of hotel is good for main shopping street and train station. One other point of note ,drugs are actively dealt and being used on the pavement across from hotel ,this has nothing to do with the hotel ,but made us feel very uncomfortable entering or exiting hotel .

This is a great place for a school group. The location is very close to the train station and the tram line. The buffet breakfast is very good if you get there early enough because they do not normally refill food as it runs out. The teenage school groups make a great deal of noise nearly all the time they are in the hotel, so don't plan on getting much sleep at night and hopefully you like to get up early in the morning. The location is good and the price is very reasonable, but the noise was terrible. We had a triple but they only left us 2 sets of towels every day we were there.

Room Tip: get a room has high as possible way for the people walking up and down the stairs and the street noi...
