Stayed at one of the studio apartments in September after spending a weekend in their B&B downstairs in June. Le Petit Trianon is in a great location minutes from the seafront, a short walk to the centre of the city and on a lovely side street of very posh shops! The apartment was clean, and well stocked with all the required supplies need in a holiday apartment. I particulary liked sitting on the balcony watching Nice go by in the sunshine and would definitely stay at Hotel le Petit Trianon again.

An excellent little hotel on the 2nd floor of an apartment block near the Albert 1e gardens. My room (#1) was small, but well equipped. I stayed here while attending a conference - it was half the price of the conference hotel (which was round the corner) and had free WiFi (as well as a small netbook available to use in the room).

Pros: great location, free WiFi, good shower, flatscreen TV.
Cons: bed was very narrow, curtains/shutters didn't do a good job of keeping light out, room was cold unless you left heater on all night

Room Tip: Room 1 (single room) is right next to the reception, but the hotel is quiet so I wasn't disturbed.

We had a small, but comfortable room with air conditioning which was perfect for our two days in Nice. You could order breakfast in your room. Everything was clean and good quality. The idea of using pin codes for entering the hotel was new to us, but we think this is what made it that reasonably priced for its location. No elevator, so this was the only (small) drawback, because we had all our luggage from a longer stay in Italy with us.

If you are leaving Nice by airplain: The airport shuttle starts nearby. Be sure to use this bus stop, because the bus gets very full after the second or third stop.

This tiny 'hotel' (an apartment actually) is centrally located on a nice pedestrian street, close to the sea, the city shopping area and at walking distance from the Old Nice. There is virtually no service, except for a part-time friendly but clueless receptionist. No elevator either - the hotel is located on the 3rd floor taking into account the 'entresol'. Rooms are quite small (ask for one of the larger courtyard facing rooms), and the shower room even more so, but well appointed (with the nice touch of a PC available for use free of charge), clean and nicely decorated. The double glazed windows protect you from the noises coming from the street, but unfortunately you will be the first to know when your neighbour is watching TV, taking a shower or going for a leak. The price is ok consdering the location but I would not rate it as good value for money. Overall, it's fine for a short stay but not for a romantic or lazy morning in bed.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the larger room by the courtyard rather than one by the street.

Lovely little place. Located along a quiet shopping alley (Rue Paradis) tucked with LV, Chanel, Faconable, Massimo Dutti stores etc. Food choices abound with tons of nice cafes and restaurants along Rue Massena which is just 2-3 steps away. 5 minutes away is the main shopping street of Avenue Jean Medecin and 10 minutes away, the Promenade des Anglais. Around 10 minues walk will also take you to the old town and the market (Cours Saleya). All in all, an excellent location.

Rooms are small. Just enough to sleep 2 in a room with a 2 small suitcases, not much space left. Beds were comfy. We didn't use the air conditioning, so can't comment. Opened windows whole day, which was fine. Hotel provided a little laptop for use if you didn't bring your own. Otherwise, wifi was free. For 7 Euros/person, the hotel could get you breakfast (baguettes, butter, jam, coffee, juice). We arrived at around 11am, so didn't have a problem with checking in. As noted by previous posters, you have to climb up 2 flights of stairs, so be ready for that. Check out time was earlier than I am used to (11am), but I assume it could be arranged to check out later if you need to.

All in all however, we had a lovely time. The hotel had character, and you can't fault the location.

Transport tips: From the airport, take the 98 bus (4 Euros/person) which runs right along the Promenade des Anglais. Get off at bus stop Gustave V or Jardin Albert 1er, the hotel is 10min walk away.

Room Tip: Rooms that don't face the street (like ours, Room 7) may have less noise, but will have less of a view (ours faced other apartments)
