“Good place in centre of Nice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

Location is excellent - very central, just a short walk from old Nice. Very reasonably priced. Inexpensive on-site parking (to be booked in advance). Rooms are generally good, well equipped (fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, hob). Decent swimming pool on the roof.

Personnel is quite friendly. After a few days of our stay air conditioner broke and we were upgraded to a bigger room with a balcony for free. If your room is facing the street it may be a bit noisy if you open the window... but if you use air conditioner you don't really need to open windows. If your room faces the courtyard it is nice and quite.

The only real downside I can think of is that at least one of the rooms we've seen had some strange smell.

..hotel very close to the center so for that reason I suggest to stay there if you need only a place to sleep, going around Nice all day..it's very cheap so it's impossible to think to get more and with an high level of quality..the swimming pool on the roof is a good idea but really too small for all customers..however in a studio you can cook everything you want..the rooms are ok..it's an old building but around there are many worse..don't forget to book the place for your car if you need it..to carry out alone the check-in and the check-out with your car in the garage could be difficult..the service and the receptionist are kind so don't be afraid to ask for an help..

Room Tip: ..the rooms on the internal side (west) should be quieter..

Hard to locate the hotel on a very busy and rapid one way street. Of course the parking garage is "before" the hotel so if you can't back up you must drive around and around. There is a ton of codes: to enter the garage, to enter the hotel, to enter the staircase....From the garage to the hotel, the underground way is complicated. The garbage room was smelly and laundry room always busy. The hotel is in need of TLC. Studio 132 was very small but clean with a good kitchenette and good A/C. Forget about sunbathing by the pool on the roof there was no chair at all. Thank you to Celine who was very nice and helpful ;complete opposite of Alexandro. This man should learn to be nicer with the customers. You can walk almost everywhere from the hotel. Taking the tram was easy and nearby.

Room Tip: If you ask for twin beds, you will get 2 very narrow beds 29" with bad mattresses, set apart on...

I am ever so happy after reading some previous reviews, I must admit I was concerned, don't know why though Adagio have never let me down. The Adagio here in Acropolis Nice is spectacular, sensational, clean, room. Air conditioned. We are on the 5th floor have a balcony, The kitchenette is a great size, has everything we need for me to be able to cook . We always eat in at Adagio, so we go to the markets which are close to the apartment. Then I can cook all the fabulous foods.
I recommend Adagio all the way, its the only place to stay and this one is sensational. Location Location Location. By the way had a great shower this morning. The bed is comfortable had a great sleep.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor and balcony , and be nice in Nice

Our stay in an Adagio studio apartment brought back memories of student living! It was dingy and the bathroom stank of drains for almost the entire trip. The bathroom is also tiny, the shower curtain looked like it could fall off any minute and the shower itself wasn't great.
The whole hotel needs refurbishing as the decor is tired and grubby throughout. Our blanket on our bed was also a bit grubby, although the bed was reasonably comfy & sheets were clean.
Our coffee maker didn't work however it was replaced by the helpful staff. The kitchenette is tiny and wouldn't be very good for general cooking beyond baguettes as breakfast. The fridge occasionally made a loud noise, we got used to it but could be a problem if you are a light sleeper.
It's location is good and handy for local transport links & shops. Wi-fi was free, the air con worked and staff were helpful but although fairly cheap for Nice it's still overpriced and I would stay elsewhere in future

This is a serviced apartment block of studios with parking, it is a great location easy walking to most of Nice, just round the corner from Grimaldi square and so easy access to the Metro system. reception staff are helpful, for what you pay it is great, clean, basic accomodation. There is a swimming pool, albeit small on the roof which is a great sun trap and no one uses?

We spent a week in the Adagio.First thing to note: it is an apart-hotel (i.e. a basic studio with a kitchen corner). Do not expect hotel services- no daily cleaning, no changes of linens or towels, no bar, no restaurant. Having said that it is clean, has pleasant reception staff and is in a very good location for exploring the city. It is 5 minutes walk from the buzzing Place Garibaldi and the old town where you will find a huge selection of restaurants. It is across the street from the Acropolis (a huge convention centre), and just up the street from Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, where you should go (free entry) to the rooftop for the best panorama of the city, as well as some imaginative art.
The room is quite spacious with a small balcony; minimal storage space - no drawers, cheap closet with a few hangers, no mirror except bathroom and a very low bed. The all white paint work is a bit grubby and needs freshening up. Warning: some bathrooms do not have a stand up shower, merely a hose attachment which must be hand held. Bathroom is adequate; thin towels, tubes of soap on the wall. TV is a computer monitor size screen.Air conditioner was good. We found it better to have breakfast in the room. Kitchen has everything you need: coffeemaker, hob, microwave, plates; cutlery. Just around the corner on the parallel avenue are bakeries and a fruit & veg shop. Down the street is a Monoprix supermarket. There is a small swimming pool on the roof; no chairs or loungers. On the same parallel Ave de la Republique as the bakeries runs the tramline; very cheap and easy to use. Maybe it was just our room, but we heard no noise either from the elevator or adjoining rooms.
For me, the price and location would persuade me to use it again but it might not suit you if you are very fussy.
