“Lovely 5 days in Nice”
Reviewed May 29, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

I've just finished a lovely 5 night stay in Nice at 10 Meyerbeer, "Ciel Bleu" apartment.
We were 4 guests in total and we all enjoyed the accomodation and the position of the flat close to the beachfront (although we didn't use it), good restaurants and the train station (10 min walk). We had a great time.
However, I would like to point out that "luxury" was not a term I would use to describe the apartment. All the amenities were there, there was excellent communication with the manager and owner, but the flat was showing signs of wear and it was noisy on the Friday and Saturday night as there are restaurants below.

“Absolutely perfect”
Reviewed April 20, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This apartment is exactly as described. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, very well equipped kitchen, even some nice toiletries provided. The owner Mike and his representatives are extremely helpful and they were able to let us stay in the apartment longer on the last day as we were on a late flight home. This meant we could make the most of the day and was very much appreciated!
It is worth noting, as pointed out in the description, that it is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. However, this wasn't an issue for us and we viewed the daily exercise as an excuse to eat more delicious food when we were out and about!
With regards to location, there is plenty of restaurants, shops, bakeries etc. we went salsa dancing at La Habana, a bar around the corner, and had a nice quiche for lunch one day at a restaurant next door to the apartment building. The location is ideal: we walked easily to the old town and further round to the port most days and got a bus to Monaco one day from the port.
To get to the apartment we got a taxi from the airport (38 euros), then to return to the airport we got the number 98 bus from the beach front (6 euros each).
I would have no hesitation in booking this apartment again if I can manage to get some more cheap flights to Nice!

“Very comfortable, modern and central too everything!”

Had a brilliant holiday, the apartment was clean, modern and had everything we needed and everything worked! The beds were comfortable and the showers were hot. We had two teenagers that enjoyed the Wi-Fi and the freedom that this location gives them to go off by themselves as it's very easy to get your bearings. The transport network is great, buses are cheap and the train station about 10 minutes straight up the road will also take you where you need to go. Go down to the port and get the 100 bus for 1.50euros each, that will take you along the coast to Monaco and then catch the train back £15.40 for 4 to get back a bit quicker. Shops are just across the road, all in all this holiday felt very easy and there is definitely something for everyone.

“Gorgeous Apartment. Central location”

From start to finish this was a great experience. Owner of the apartment -Mike was very helpful prior to and during our stay. The apartment is fitted out to a high standard with all the amenities you should need. A couple of minutes stroll to the beach, lots of bars and eateries close by. Apartment was plenty big for us all to spread out after a hard days sunbathing.
The only advice I can give is don't waste your money hiring loungers on a private beach, there were plenty of mats & umbrella left in the apartment for you to use.

“The Jewel of Nice”
Reviewed August 11, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed at the Ciel Bleu from July 5-11, 2015 and were not disappointed! The apartment has been fully renovated with modern kitchen and bathrooms, and the three bedrooms meant our daughters (13 and 7) each had their own space during our time in Nice! The owner, Mike, was wonderful to deal with as was his manager Diana. We had no troubles getting to the apartment by taxi from the airport (35 euros) and were met by Diana shortly after we arrived. We appreciated the air conditioning given how hot it was during our stay, the very close proximity to the many beaches along the Promenade, and the market right across the street where we bought all of our groceries. It was a short walk to the old town (10 minutes) and also an easy walk to the Tourist Information building and the hotel Negresco. We so appreciated that the apartment was well stocked with everything we needed for a day at the beach - lawn chairs, umbrellas, and cushioned mats which are very necessary as all the beaches in Nice are rock not sand. Because we were a block off the Promenade, we were never bothered by noise. Our only issues with the rental were the slowness of the WiFi and the limited number of dishwasher tablets left for us to use (3 for a weeks stay). The kitchen was well equipped and we ate almost every meal at the apartment as it was an escape from the heat, and the costs of the restaurants in Nice which are quite expensive. Overall, a wonderful week and of our three weeks spent in France, perhaps our favourite!
