Not far from the beach and Nice Ville Train station. Room is nice, but it's noisy sometime as we can here next room. Check-in process is not impressive, we we got there, no one at the check in counter. While there is a long queue already. Overall is Ok for the price compare to the room and location. Recommend this place.

Stayed 3 nights and although we were not disappointed, it really wasn't worth the money for the service levels and quality of room

Lot of people have talked about the location and I agree that its centrally located. We paid for the priviledge room (3 pax) and although the room was decent sized, the bathroom was a complete joke honestly. I am an average sized man (72 kgs and 5 ft 9”) and it was a struggle for me to shower in the really narrow and crammed bath tub.

Wifi was patchy and barely worked

Regarding service staff, I am a little surprised at the rave reviews being showered on them by others. They did their job alright in terms of making bookings and reservations and answering queries (which is their job anyway) but it would not hurt if they smiled a bit. Esp. the tall blonde lady (forgetting her name) was borderline rude and never missed a chance to pass a sarcastic remark here and there. And it wasn't only to us but I personally witnessed her doing it to a few others.

In conclusion, I would not staying there again and would definitely shop around for better deals in the vicinity. Maybe it was just our bad luck – could be the other rooms were better? or maybe some of the other staff were better? who knows cant say but this is meant to be a personal note

My husband, son and I stayed in the Alba for 6 nights. Right from the start we were impressed with the friendliness of the staff as they welcomed us.

Our room was not huge, by a long stretch. However, the promised cot was in presence and the room was very clean and fresh. We had a street facing room but noise wasn't a problem and with the shutters, windows and curtains closed it was nice and dark at night.

On the day we arrived we discovered that the window wouldn't close properly so we reported it. However, my husband somehow fixed it. The following morning we were offered another room but explained there was no need as the window was now OK.

The facilities were perfectly adequate and the room was cleaned daily to an excellent standard. Lots of towels.

Staff were attentive to our needs, and polite and friendly towards us at all times.

The hotel is located on the main shopping street in Nice, and is about 15 mins walk to the promenade, and about 5 mins to the Nice Ville Gare. Perfect for us. We would definitely recommend this hotel and if we returned to Nice in the future we would stay there again.

Central location, good breakfast, simple tidy rooms.....no noise issues (remember your in a busy city!), friendly staff.......BUT frustrating WiFi that worked occasionally only in the hallways or lobby. An easy to offer "perk" that Hotel Alba did not do successfully. The only hotel of 5 on our Italy/France trip that did not :(
