Palace has an interesting collection of musical instruments, everything is exposed in gorgeous interiors! Worth to visit. Now there is also exhibition dedicated to Matisse - "Les années Jazz". Quite interesting! Palace is situated in a beautiful neighborhood near Parc du Chateau.

Both the palais in itself and the permanent collection with classical instruments is interesting. The idea behind the temporary exhibition (until sep 23) showing the book Jazz by Matisse is clear and worth a visit.

There is a small collection of Matisse exhibits here until September and as a result it is now E10 per person. There are some lovely paintings, instruments and items of furniture but in my opinion although it is a lovely building it is not worth E20 for a visit.

Now a museum, open daily, apart from Tuesdays, this wonderful aristocratic palace (or large mansion house) is worth making a detour to. Situated at 15 Rue Droite, entrance is free. You step back in time and at will be amazed at all the luxurious decor which includes panels, tapestries, paintings, ornaments and musical instruments. 1/2 an hour should be sufficient as it is not huge, although sometimes they have special exhibitions within the palace which, if you are interested in, may take a bit longer. The staircase and 18thC pharmacy, both on the ground floor, should be viewed even if you have no desire to go in any further.

This Palais is in the wrong place. Its on a crummy street in a crummy area and only worth visiting if you are in the area and it begins to rain. Its free. The music room is wonderful and you may get vey excited if you're a musician but that's the extent of it. The building is not lighted very well making the murals very difficult to appreciate and the staircase is too narrow to get a photo in depth. It certainly is authentic and there is real history here but the building should be disassembled and moved to an open space somewhere. Like most other things in the "old town" this address has seen better days.
