Great museum in a beautiful home. Worth spending some time and no charge, so you don't have to worry about spending alot of time and easy to find.

Lilked visiting this museum but there's a definite lack of translation of the exhibits into English - Russian yes, but not English. This would really had added to the experience.

We enjoyed our brief visit here -- the museum was small, but filled with interesting art and other objects depicting the history of Nice. A nice way to spend a rainy spring afternoon.

The stroll along Promenade des Anglais led us to this beautiful building set in a lovely garden. The signs said a ticket office was at the back but it turned out it was free entry! The rooms were set up like they would have been in the original home of the King of Sardinia. Amazingly lush.

Go in on the back street, find the ticket office (ticets are free) and walk up to the imposing doors. The museum is over three floors and the old film shown on the top floor gives a glimpse of life in Nice's hey-day. Then pop into the Hotel Negresco and enjoy a pot of tea at eight euros.

Thank Victoria M
