“Perfect location, clean and comfortable”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

This hotel was perfect for us. We had three people in our group and really didnt want to get a second room for one person. Little Palace was able to accommodate us by putting a queen bed and twin bed in one room. In addition, it was a great deal and only blocks from the train station and beach. We were able to walk to the Promenade every night within 5-10 minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

We truly liked everything about this hotel! The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I think that the best thing about this hotel is its location! You can take a local bus to and from the airport for 6 euros one way, which is cheaper than a 35-40 euro cab, and walk a couple of blocks to the hotel. The hotel is located on a quiet street a short walk from the action on the Promenade des Anglais, restaurants, shopping and the Old Town in Nice--there is NO reason to rent a car at all. I highly recommend the Little Palace when in Nice!

Room Tip: We had a room on the 6th (top) floor that faced an inside "courtyard". My guess is that ev...

Our family stayed for two nights at Little Palace June 7-9 2013. We had a quad on the second floor, and found it to be clean and comfortable. The room had a nice balcony overlooking the inner courtyard opposite the street out front, so it was quiet. Our travelling companions stayed a couple of doors down in a triple that faced the street, and reported that the street noise was not bad at all.

The location was great--a good sized grocery store is literally next door, and we were able to easily walk to the beach, old town, and the train station. The staff was kind and helpful, and allowed our families to check into their rooms early and without my credit card (I was returning a rental car to the airport). We did not opt for the breakfast, and just brought stuff over from the grocery store for a fraction of the price.

The local bus (route 23 I think) will take you from the airport to the train station for a mere 1.5 Euros, so consider this option over a cab.

Room Tip: Inner courtyard rooms are very quiet.

We are having two holidays in one over these 8 nights 3 days touring using the train and the rest up the coast in a 4* hotel on the beach to chill a while. Chose this place because of its proximity to Gare ville and the old town for the evenning......great choice....clean rooms....ok size...10 minutes to the station.....did st tropez, Cannes and Monaco ....... Total cost 80 euro for 2 and an extra 50 euro for the boat from st Raphael to st tropez.......great days out.......for me st tropez was the costliest and least spectacular.......montecarlo and Monaco the best.....did all the top attractions and loved it......like everywhere in the south of France look out for plat de jour and the happy hours.....you need to utilise them unless you have money to burn.....the average for a beer is 7euro so any discount helps.....always get carafe d'eau to save paying 6euro for water and all of a sudden this place is ok coastwise.....don't be scared off by what people say......just be a little clever.....today we had lunch for 12euro in monte Carlo....steak sandwich and chips and 50% off the drinks in a bar next to the harbour and pit lane from 5-7 can't be bad.......st tropez is a big letdown unless you have silly money to blow in the beach clubs....a nice boat ride, but not for me.....Monaco much much better.....in short the little palace....a great place to tour from...the supermarket next door is also really handy......

A hotel in Nice can be very expensive so finding this hotel was a pleasant surprise. It is affordable, quiet, clean and very well located. It is an easy walk from the train station or to the beach. We did not have the breakfast but there are so many restaurants and cafes close by to enjoy. We stayed at the Little Palace four nights while we visited the French Rivera. Everywhere is easy to get to via train, taxi or public transportation. The staff was very helpful and spoke enough English, so together with our limited French we received a lot of information. The house keeping staff did an excellent job of preparing the room each day. We don't spend a lot of time in our hotel room so some amenities are not important to us. Free wireless internet but like most older hotels the location of the power receptacles is not easy to use. This is a very typical European hotel and well worth the price. A great location and a good value. There is also a laundromat a few blocks away. Great place to meet people.

Room Tip: Ask if you can see the room first. They do not want to do this but if you ask nicely, in French, the...

This hotel does the job. Clean, not too noisy outside and a good location. Receptionist is most nervous but means well. Breakfast ok. If you have a car use Mozart parking only a minute walk away. Expensive for 24 hours 25 euros but ask at reception for a long stay and they will amend your card to allow exit and return we stayed for 4 days for 59 euros and it gets cheaper the longer you stay, quite tight for a big car though.

Half way between the station and the beach you could not have a better position. The room was basic but all you would expect for a three star hotel, furnished with taste.Lovely staff friendly and helpful. Made our holiday special and comfortable.
