“DO NOT STAY HERE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

This is the WORST place to stay. The air conditioning does not work. The bathroom floor is DESCUSTING and GROSS. The breakfast is 9€ a person. Horrible service. Rooms are very small very cramed. I'm warning you DO NOT STAY HERE

Room Tip: Make all of it better

The location is good, just a few stops from Nice old town centre. The room was comfortable and clean as well, apart from the not-so-efficient hairdryer. There's no wifi in the room but cable connection. Wifi is available only in the small lobby.
But apart from these, what really stops me from giving a higher rating for the hotel was the reception. The girl from the reception literally has no idea about anything - she doesn't know where the bus stop to Monaco is, and she doesn't even know where the nearest supermarket is. Her attitude wasn't very helpful either. Moreover, she asked us to pay the city tax again during checkout when we've already done so on the first day of arrival. It is also very strange for the reception to be closed after 9pm every day. Other staffs are nice and friendly though!

The double room was tiny, though very clean. Only one arm chair and one upright chair for two people to share. We only stayed three nights, a week or more there would have been uncomfortable. Reception is only open during the day. Wifi is available, but only in the reception area where there is a small seating area. However it was always occupied by a noisy and rude group of visitors every evening we were there.
Breakfast was including in our booking, but it was disappointing - a very limited selection of cold cereals, breads, pre-packed cheese etc, though the coffee and fruit juices were good quality. Breakfast is available from 7-9 on weekdays and 8-10 on weekends, however we saw a group of people enter the room at 8.45 on Monday and be told off by the woman in charge for being late!! She had already cleared away the cheese, and fruit salad when we arrived at 8.30 and was not happy when I asked for some - she got some out of the fridge for me , but with a sour look on her face!
So long as you plan on spending your time out and about, this is OK , with good transport links into the town, but it is in a run-down area and there is nothing to do in the hotel or nearby.

Just stayed here for one week.Advice I would give would be to definitely read all available reviews for any property before booking anything overseas if you want a decent experience. This property is what it says it is.However they dont tell you on expedia that there is not always a desk agent there or that housekeeping is not provided in the price or that you will have to supply own toiletpaper beyond 2 initial rolls or that double bed only accomodates 2 small size people or that the showers leak out horribly and you will have to pay extra for towels to keep the water from extending to hallway. That is why it is important to read all available reviews on other sites as well.A big problem here is that by all appearances this is not a safe neighborhood by most american standards.I did not feel comfortable walking in this neighborhood alone during day and really not even at night with my husband. There was a tram stop directly outside the hotel around the corner however. But had I researched enough I would definitely have stayed closer in town in order to do some day exploring on my own. When we arrived we were given a room facing the front street and the fan or ac did not work so in order to have any ventilation we would have to leave the window open and breathe diesel fumes all night and listen to the tram passing every 10 minutes up close. So I requested a different room-they initially did not want to accomodate this but then found a different room on the third floor that faced the back-you still could hear the tram but not as bad. and you didnt feel as if you were directly on the street with the window open-also again the fan or ac did not work nor did the phone. One thing to bear in mind as well-american cell phones will not pickup the signal in France so if you arrive when the desk is closed and have to call the property for the codes to get in and retrieve your keys from a safe that is avail for this purpose-as the property directs you to do-you will not be able to call from your phone-lucky for us when we arrived the desk agent was there doing some other work and was able to help us.In summary-this "hotel"is not really a hotel-it is someplace to go if you just want to rent a room for a night or two as a traveller-but if you are on your weeks vacation -you probably would not be happy here-for just a a bit more money you could stay near the city centre feel safe and enjoy your vacation.

Room Tip: Request something facing the back-or you will hear the tram up close all night as well as potentiall...

The rooms were ok, but small. The bathroom floor was dirty. The services was ok. Too expensive for the place you had in the rooms. Internet didn't work. No wifi. Kitchen will almost anything. Well connected.

Staying in a Suites Hotel was a first for us but this worked really well. The hotel was clean, comfortable and spacious and the reception staff bent over backwards to be helpful when reception was open – and often even when it wasn’t! Frequent trams to the halt around the corner make getting to Old Nice and the seafront a snip. To get here from the airport, the smart thing to do is get the number 98 bus direct to Nice Riquer station which is round the corner – the route takes in most of Promenade des Anglais into the bargain. A taxi is quicker but costs 40 Euro. A weekly pass on the bus and tram, which includes the airport bus, is a great investment even if you’re not staying a full week. The hotel is next to the railway line - but this didn't disturb us unduly

Five or six tram stations from the Place du Massena, this hotel is located in a neighborhood that does not really make you feel as if you were in a beautiful Mediterranean city such as Nice. There is an underground parking at an extra charge, breakfast at an extra charge, which makes it a not exactly comfortable budget experience in Nice (though it was the best value for money we were able to find when booking two months in advance). That said, the staff go an extra mile for you (on reporting a broken hairdryer, the receptionist upgraded us to a two-bedroom apartment from a one-bedroom one that we had booked at no extra charge) and the apartments themselves are brand new, very spacious and comfortable. We opted to skip the hotel breakfast as there are lots of good bakeries just a five-minute-walk away.

Room Tip: Before your trip, make sure you arrange with the hotel to provide you with an entry digital passkey...
