Description: Facing the Mediterranean Sea, our restaurant Le Siècle is at the heart of West End Hotel. It was constructed in 1842 and is an example of Belle Epoque architecture with its red velvet seats, its Art Déco glass roof, and its copper tones and wooden panels. Our Head Chef Tanguy L'Yvonnet and his team compose cuisine with decidedly Mediterranean overtones marrying the tradition of French gastronomy with Provençal culture.

“Stunning cocktails”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

This was pricey but very pretty both inside and out. Great service and tasty food. The best cocktails I have ever had, and I'm an expert!

“Relaxing meal”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

We were staying in the Hotel West End on 3rd Sept and opted to eat here. We popped in during the afternoon to book and we were able to select our table. The meal started with the waiter dropping an empty plate onto the table which broke some glasses, but it also broke the ice! We had very good service, polite and friendly from the 3 waiting staff and felt neither hurried nor had to wait long for anything we required. The food was good and I particularly enjoyed my starter of gazpacho. We drank both rose and red wine and they were of a good standard. It was a good start to our stay in Nice and the Var and we would eat here again.

“Something to learn about service attitude”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

We dined at this restaurant recently and decided to divide the first course (foie gras). The waiter had the nerve to tell us that we ate too quickly. "This is not a paté", he said. Well, I think it is not his concern how quickly or slowly customers choose to eat. Second courses arrive. The waiter's assistant pours sauce into my lap. He apologizes and is very sorry. The head waiter returns maybe 5 times to the table to tell us how sorry they are and that the hotel will clean my "t-shirt" and cardigan. Once again, we found the head waiter's manner disturbing. In addition, the female waiter talked very loudly to customers, how every dish was trés bon, manifique, superb trying to create an atmosphere but failed badly. The food was average but the ambiance very tense. Thus, not so nice experience.

“we enjoyed it!”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

For our first night in Nice we did not want to walk back into the town centre so ate here instead. When we booked in the afternoon we were able to choose our table - one for a good view along the promenade. We were not disappointed by the food or the service, they were all very good. We would definitely return to this restaurant or the Hotel West End.
