“Good food and excellent service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

Had the Filet du boeuf with pepper sauce and french fries. It was very good, quite spicy. The service was excellent. Suggested me for red wine the chateau de berne, which was not strong at all, but tasty. The chocolate ice cream with merenge and caramel was best.

“This is the best hotel in the universe!!!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

If you want a 5 star trip, a five star hotel would really kick it off. They have the cleanest rooms I could ever ask for. After coming back from a long night if dinner that the concierge recommends which will be absolutely fine, you'll come back to a clean lush room! The pool goes from in to out. It's starts of to a 5 foot deep pool that leads you to a wondrous indoor pool. You would almost think that your walking in a water wonderland! The food is dazzling with tasty taste that you would e astonished to even look at! Breakfast buffet in bed or down by the pool! The hotel is right in front of everything! Barbie and I always like to go to casino and do a smudge gambling. Shh! Kid free or not the place is friendly with the best staff and gorgeous views. Even I you don't have a sweet, you'll be living in treasure! So go there. This is from personal experience! Of you don't ask Barbie! ~Paul

“amazing value”

Small, intimate dining room with attentive staff who are proud of what they serve. The bill for six came to less than we were charged at all the restaurants we tried that week

“Best beef”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

We stayed elsewhere, but, on the one night of our ten there when I had to fend for myself, I walked in on a whim, and up to the third floor, and was pleasantly greeted while scanning the posted menu. I often feel a restaurant's service shows itself best to the solo diner, and here I was treated with just the right mixture of respect and kindness. I enjoyed an excellent medium-rare filet of beef...as an Iowan, I do know from beef. If the hotel's rates are out of your range, the restaurant's prices are no higher than those considered reasonable in old town.

“Fine cuisine and classy service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

Stayed at hotel and tried restaurant last night.
Not many tables given the size of the hotel so booking is advised.
Started with duck - nouvelle cuisine style with minced duck wrapped inside smoked duck with a touch of balsamic bread and salad - interesting.
My wife had venison terrine with apricot tart - tge sweetness of the apricot complementing the terrine beautifully.
For mains I had the venison which came in four thickvand tender slices with pears poached in wine, redcurrants and a pear and jerusalem artichoke puree - again the contrast of flavours worked a treat.
My wife had the seafood with asian noodles - although the seafood was perfectly cooked the noodles lacked flavour and imagination.
Reasonably priced rose wine and coffee topped off a lovely meal.
Yes it was expensive but it is a five star hotel and we didn't feel short-changed.
