“A Summer visit to Nice”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

We have stayed in the hotel on several visits to Nice. Picked for its location, which is perfect, overlooking the beach and within easy walking distance of everything the city has to offer the summer tourist. I first stayed here over 20 years ago and in fairness not a lot has changed, the hotel relies a bit too much on its five star location and could offer a lot more to its guests. Rooms are clean, comfortable, a bit basic but adequate. Terrace breakfast is a charming experience. I would stay at this hotel again but would like to see it up its game to offer more to its clients.

Room Tip: It has to be a sea facing room.

Had a week here late September with a Group. Good well appointed room with hotel in an excellent location for everywhere central Nice. Service 1st class and the bar/terrace superb with reasonable prices for the outstanding location on the prom. Pity about the inclusive breakfast - they definitely don't do tea!

This place is awful. Room was stuffy and smelly?
No a/c in rooms I was told because it is now winter and it is not available.
No ventilation but when I asked why the reception area was cool , because they have a fan
No fan for guest room ... She said " sorry"
The upholstery on the chair was ripped at the corners.
The curtain was off the rod hanging lopsidedly and the inside lining facing the exterior of the window was stained and dirty.

We've been staying in this hotel for weekend in classic room. Big and good point of course it's location straight on Promenade. So if you are looking for this, and good sea view, so would be a right choice. Room was ok, not very big, but enough. All what u need u have.
Reception guy was very friendly and polite.
Breakfast also did not disappoint. Especially in such a nice ambience.
So, if you need nice spot, with good location and sea view, it is not bad. However if you don't mind to be on second and third line from sea, it s possible to find better deals, which is somehow more reasonable pricewise.

Arriving, we were greeted by a friendly porter who assisted us with everything needed and every time he saw us, he greeted us warmly. There was a welcome for us on the flat screen and then when they found out it was our anniversary, they posted a congrats on the screen the next night. We were on the 5th floor with a beautiful view from the bed and balcony of the blue sea and Promenade. Location was a bonus as we were central to everthing. Had every facility needed including a turn down service, with sweets on the pillow. There was a huge bath but no shower (there was a hand held nozzle). Breakfast was excellent with staff even making pouched eggs at my husbands request. The only downside was the porter upon leaving. a triathalon was beginning that morning and closed off the Promenade. We did everything the staff asked of us in leaving a little earlier to make the train. This porter could not get a taxi for us and became upset with us. We have put this porter out of our remembrance of our visit to Nice and the Westminster.

Room Tip: Choose a room with sea view. If you want a shower make sure you ask for one. Bed and breakfast deal...

What a pleasant stay we had in Hotel Westminster.

The staff was extremely friendly and the hotel delivers was it offers, great view, very comfortable rooms and a good restaurant.
In this hotel they make you feel at home and they are willing to do so in great length.

The hotel is located opposite the sea and near the 'new' and old town, so in just a couple of minutes walk you have the best of everything.

All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and for sure are coming back to this great hotel!
