Well located, walking distance to old city, promenade des anglais, station, buses and trams (although if you can afford it the Euro 35 taxi fare to the airport is worth it if you've large cases). Excellent very helpful 24 hour reception staff. Very good cold breakfast buffet (although hot selection limited and Euro 12 pricey. Coffee and croissants free in reception all day). Room on the small side but plenty of storage space. Comfortable bed and pillows. Fridge, safe, tea/coffee. Front facing room with juliette balcony so some, but limited, external noise. Bathroom had large powerful shower (no bath) and good selection of toiletries, towels. My only criticism of bathroom was that toilet too near wall (odd because clearly new bathroom and room for more space just bad design). Only other comment was that electronic card key on a large fob which needed to be returned each time you left hotel. No room card provided, so you just gave room number to collect key, possibly a security issue (although I stress reception staff, even at midnight incredibly helpful and I expect security conscious).

My husband and I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights last week. The best things of the hotel are the reception staffs and its location. It is very close to everything. The staffs are very nice and helpful for all the things and questions we concerned and asked. The most incredible thing happened in the last day we were in Nice. We took the taxi arranged by the reception staff to the airport, but my husband forgot his backpack when we got out of it which had his camera, iPad and etc. inside. We found we lost the important backpack at the check-in desk. No way for us to find the taxi driver except to call the hotel staff. I did and she called me back within 5 minutes telling me she found the taxi driver and he would send us the backpack to the airport. When we got back our backpack we were so grateful to the driver and the hotel staff! There are more than 1000 photos we took in our trip to Europe including Nice! Without their help we would loss all our beautiful images, and may have to repeat the same trip again in the future! Thank you again Caroline and the driver! Wish you could see this.

Beginning with three small negatives: water took some time to drain from the wash basin in our bathroom; the shower curtain was too short (and there was no bath tub); and the hotel was a little expensive.

Right, having said that, I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Roosevelt, where all the staff that I met were friendly and competent. I always wanted to say hello to whoever was on the Reception Desk and my greeting was unfailingly met with a smile. The Reception staff knew how to explain how to get to places, too, and their English was far better than my rudimentary French. Our room was clean and the cleaners were efficient in making sure everything was tidied up and in place each day.

The hotel proved an excellent base to explore Nice and its surroundings. It is an easy walk to La Prom, to the Old Town, to the busy shopping centre and to transport links. It was quiet, too. A final word of praise for the continental breakfast, available for several hours, and which provided a good start to the day.

Recommended.

thank you for your comment on tripadvisor and for reporting the tecnical problems in your room.
i have send our maintenance man to fix it. if you had told us at reception, he would have fixed it during your stay.
it is true our rates are high as the moth of may is one of the busiest month in the year with the cannes festival and the Monaco grand prix.
thank you also for all the nice things you say about your stay.
we have a staff meeting tomorrow and i will show your review.
best regards

This hotel is a friendly 3* base. The location is near to sea front, shops, restaurants, bars, tram and railway station. Our room was very small, however there was plenty of hot water for shower/bath. Towels were changed daily and toiletries replemished. Our room was front facing, yes we could hear the nearby traffic but it did not bother us - we left our french doors open all night. Breakfast at 1 euro (book through hotels own website) was a true bargain. A typical continental breakfast with a reasonable choice..Free coffee/tea was available during the day. This hotel does not have a lounge/bar area, garden or restaurant. If you want a central base while visiting Nice this hotel will tick the box. However if you are looking for the extras - upgrade to a higher star hotel and do your home work but be prepared to pay. A special thank you to the reception staff who were all most helpful. 1 euro for the bus service - which cant be faulted at all. 1 hour to Monaco and 2 hours to Cannes.

Just returned from a fabulous celebration weekend break at this wonderful hotel (22 ladies ). The hotel were very accomodating and going that extra mile in helping any way they could by booking our airport trasnsfers and a restautrant booking for the first night. I would highly reccomend this hotel for the very friendly efficent staff comfortable rooms and very filling breakfasts. The location is just right for easy walks to both the beach and train station. I will definatley return in the very near future with my hubby,
