“Sleep quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2011

I ordered a balcony room towards the beach promenade/main road. Considering the expected traffic noise at night, I selected a de luxe room with soundproofing and air condition. The air conditoin was however turned off for the season, and the room quite hot, so we had to try to sleep withe the balcony doors open, with a lot of noise from the outside road, resulting in a poor sleep quality. I do not think the hotel should advertize with air condition in the period from november to april, when it is tuned off for the whole hotel.
With that reservation i will still recommend the hotel.

Very good location, sigle classic rooms are small but comfortable, quiet, clean and air conditioned. Good bath amenities. Very basic breakfast though it's rather expensive. Staff healpful and attentive. All in all it's a very good choice to spend several days in Nice.

A long weekend with friends was set off perfectly by this hotel. The location was ideal, on the doorstep of the old town with its huge selcetion of cafes and restaurants. The hotel was very quiet, staff attentive and helpful with an excellent brekfast choice. Would certainly recommend this hotal and be very happy to return.

Small, clean, value for money priced hotel very close to Vieux Nice. Great room overlooking the Promenade des Anglais with small balcony. Close to lots of bars, restaurants. Can recommend Le Frog restaurant, just around the corner from the hotel, great food and cocktails. Wifi connection not brilliant.

The hotel is nice and small with good clean rooms, it advertises WiFi in all rooms which I suppose it is but the signal strength in the rooms is so poor it is not usable but ok in the public areas. Excellent location for exploring old Nice.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms with balconies a bit smaller but worth the view

We stayed in a beach front room for three nights and very very pleased with room 123. The staff was very helpful, and the room was basic but very clean. Everything worked including the internet. A bit disappointed in the breakfast - if you were not there early, you did not get eggs.

Room Tip: No elevators for beach front rooms - you have to climb one flight of stairs - the rooms are bigger a...

We much enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Marché aux fleurs in Nice. Friendly staff, good location - everything was fine. The rooms with the bed at an elevated floor were a bit unusual, but once you accepted it it was OK. People who have problems climbing a staircase should specify a normal room.
