So, I moved to this hotel from another one in Nice which was "4 star" but in US it would have been 2 star. This one was only 3 star but way better. Examples: fresh coffee and croissants in the lobby, outdoor cafe in the garden for breakfast, quiet rooms (I overlooked the garden), nice staff and free internet. I got an exec room which was bigger and about 20 dollars more but worth it. Usually I sleep in ear plugs on trips but this one was so quiet I didn't have to. It's about 4 blocks (10 min walk) to the promenade. Would go back!

Room Tip: ask for exec room overlooking garden on high floor for view

Hotel Villa Victoria is a real gem. A small friendly hotel with good plentiful breakfasts, large clean rooms and in a perfect location. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for staff at the Hotel, the rooms are warm, which was a plus since we were there in February for the Carnivals. I am sure in warmer weather the garden is beautiful to have breakfast in or just relax. The Hotel is within easy walking distance to the Train Station, bus and tram stops and of course the Promenade. I would have no hesitation in booking this Hotel again.

Returned a week ago from a pleasant stay at Villa Victoria. Stayed with our 2 daughters,. We had asked for 2 rooms close by and they were able to accommodate us. We had a garden view and street view with breakfast included 100euros and 85euros. I would not pay extra for the garden view room, but when we booked 5 months prior on Expedia, this is all that was available. I received terrible customer service through Expedia, and would not recommend anyone to book with them. Book directly with the hotel on their website, the rates are the same and the hotel gives excellent customer service and you can email them and they reply immediately.
Our rooms were good for European standards. Big enough and clean. We enjoyed the European style breakfast with fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, yogurt, egg cooking station, pastries, juice, coffee machine, toast, fresh buns...very nice.
The ladies at the hotel and quite helpful...can't say they always seem to answer questions whole heartily. The suggestions they gave us for eating out were not very good. Suggestions I found on Tripadvisor were great. Must eat at Chez Palmyre 5 rue droite, make reservations before hand, it's always busy.
Also, make sure you bring your own toiletries. All they supply is soap and shampoo/body wash in a dispenser in the shower.
Enjoyed the Nespresso coffee in the afternoon. Nice place, would not hesitate to recommend.
Good bus service from the Airport to hotel...98 Bus, drops off at Rue du Congress 2 blocks away..very convenient. Any questions you have, email the hotel and they will help you.

We stayed for five nights and were quite happy with the rooms and breakfast. Not extremely fancy but very clean, lovely location. Really good value. We would go back there, so that says enough. We are spoiled travellers, staying in 5 star hotels and we were not dissapointed at all with this hotel

We just stayed one night before flying home, so we needed an affordable place within walking distance of the old part of Nice and good restaurants, so this hotel was a good choice. I would compare it to an older Hampton Inn in the states or something like that. This is not fancy, but it is clean and cheap for Nice, so what can you really ask for? The view from the room was very picturesque with palm trees swaying in the breeze.

Our dream of attending the Monaco Grand Prix came to fruition last summer and as part of our package through Fugare1, a hospitality company that specializes in Formula 1 races, we chose the Hotel Villa Victoria. This is a charming hotel with comfortable, clean rooms....it wasn't fancy, more of a classic European hotel and met our needs. It is in a handy location and we walked to most of the touristy things that we were interested in and the promenade. We had a nice room overlooking the courtyard which was quiet and pretty to look out to. A nice spot to enjoy breakfast or some downtime. There was a generous breakfast that we observed, but we chose to start the day off light and made good use of the small fridge in the room (we were catered to lavishly by Fugare for our race activities!). We had no problem with the internet that was provided and found everyone friendly and helpful. They still used keys which is a little old fashioned and didn't ask for ID which we found a little off putting (they actually gave us the wrong keys once) but still quite common, I'm sure in Europe.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the garden courtyard view!

Had a nice 3 night stay between 29dec-1jan , this was our 2:nd stay here at Villa Victoria.

The hotel standard in France is very poor as many of you already know, so here are our review!

Rooms are refurbished as you can read on the homepage,, the truth is that there are some white paint on the walls and bathrooms are old,, nothing else are new!

We could recommend this hotel if the price was cheaper, but not now,, we payed 158 Euro per night inc breakfast and taxes. We have been to Nice many many times and stayed at even 2-3 star hotels, with much better service , rooms and location and MUCH better price..

So dont get fooled by this so called 4 star hotel, avoid it !!!!

Location is good, breakfast is very good ( cold breakfast) bread, salami, ham etc.. but standard overall is so poor.

We had a room with streetview as we requested. And there is alot of noice from street ( Soundproofed windows dont exist here) but its no problem for us,, but dont pay extra for garden view,, its a small garden with alot of trees and flowers, and you have that allover in Nice for free, problably you are out in town during day time,, and in evening when you want to relax and see the garden its to dark,,they dont have any lights out theer so you dont see anything.

Staff are nice as they are almost everywhere, nothing special.

Now we had complained alot, but the hotel is nice anyway,, but so overpriced, so choose any other hotel with a lower star rating and better rooms, service,, and have so much money to use on something else.

If the price is going down we come back, otherwise there are so much more better hotels!!

Room Tip: Streetview better price than overpriced gardenview.
