“main shopping street”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Av Jean Medecin is the main shopping street in Nice, with the tram running through the middle of it. Along here are shops such as Mango, H&M, Zara and many well known high street stores, as well as some that you only find on the continent. There is also the Galeries Lafayette, and Nice Etoile. Nice Etoile is great as it houses many stores in a very well air-conditioned building.

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants too, if you feel hungry. At one end of the Avenue is the way to Gare Nice Ville, and the other Place Massena.

Did majority of my shopping whilst in France here! The store assistants are more keen to greet you and to ask you for help, and do not mind if you meander through their stores just to browse!

“The heart of the city”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

It was our preferred street to get from hotel to the train station. Or if you are lazy, just hop on the tram! Plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and stores along the way. Certain parts does get rowdy in the evenings

“Shoppng galore”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

This is the main shopping avenue. where you will find The CITE shopping centre, several Brasseries, the Hippopotamus restaurant etc etc. The cathedral is also on this avenue. Inside the shopping centre, don.t miss the Brioche Doree for great sandwiches and fabulous Tarte aux Fraises!!

“A shopper's delight”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

This street is the main place for shopping stretching from Place Massena and up. There are loads of shops and restaurants along it and also a mall, Nice Etoile. Monoprix is a big grocery store next to Etoile. Be careful when crossing the street as there are trams going up and down all the time.
