I stayed here for 4 nights in January and had the most amazing time. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I am travelling on my own and the staff made sure that I was introduced to other Australians staying there so that I was not alone. A great movie night was organised so a bunch of us were all snuggled on matresses in front of the TV. The atmosphere of the hostel in general was fantastic even though it was winter. There is always someone to talk to and hang out with in the bar and drinks are cheap :)
The location of the hostel is great, not too far from the train station, and close to old town and the beach. There are pleanty of tours to do and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I will be coming back to stay here again next time I am in Nice.

Stayed there for 3 nights last week. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean, with new bunks, good mattresses and quality bedding by hostel standards. Seems the people who set it up put some thought into the things you want in a hostel.
Part of it us under renovations but that wasn't any big deal given it is low season.
The bar is a good place to hang out and meet people.
My only negative is their website needs updating as it didn't mention a few things I believe it should have.
Overall quite pleased. I will happily return again.

It's nearby Place Massena and close to Promenade des Anglais !

My second time at the St. Exupery Beach. The staff are great, so helpful and go that extra kilometre! Very welcoming and the evening meals were delicious and all cooked in a tiny kitchen, so the skill of the chef of the day really showed. The beds are exceedingly comfortable and generally there is great care shown for the comfort of the guests.
Every morning someone came round the breakfast room and asked about our plans for the day and discussed our proposed trip, they made (helpful) suggestions and sometimes the helpful suggestion was more exciting than our planned trip- so we took them! That was so helpful and we ended up going to a couple of places which we would not have thought of going to. However I was gratified to point out a museum in Nice that the hostel staff were unaware of (Le Musée de Curiosité et de l’Insolite) however I gather that, once it has been checked out, it will become part of the general information. I will most definitely return.

I've been here for 3 holidays and will come again. Brilliant staff, great facilities, perfect location next to the beach, old town, main shops, transport. Comfortable beds, free wifi, did I mention the staff? Highly recommended. Any problems, e.g. a banging door, were fixed the same day. The hostel is being upgraded constantly, and no doubt will be even better next time.

Positive points: it is about 15 min by foot from central train station, there is a tram stop 2 min by foot from the hotel and many bus stops around. It is located in a safe area, at the city center and close to the touristic points. There is luggage storage with electronic key and video surveillance, in addition to 24h reception. Friendly staff that gives touristc information. There is a supermarket near. Quiet hostel. The room has ensuite bathroom. There is free wifi and many free internet computers. Good level of security. There is a common living room with a big screen TV. Reasonable price. The stop of bus 98 to airport is about 8 min by foot.
Negative points: you have to give your passport or other ID with photo so they keep it with them until it will be returned to you at check out.(information that is not given at the site booking.com or the site of the hostel). You have to give a 3 euro as a deposit to take the electronic key that is refunded at the check out. They don’t give towels(even to the single private room).
there is breakfast, but it is poor, there is only, milk, juice, jelly, toast bread and many kind of cereals, there aren’t fruits, cheese, or other kind of breads.
It ‘s charged 3 euros if paying with credit card
In general is a very good place to budget travelers. The obligation to leave the passport with them is disturbing, even though they say they keep it in a safe place. In addition it is not informed previously on booking site

This hostel is top-ranked for a reason, it is wonderful. The location of this hostel cannot be beat. It is clean and the staff is very nice. My friends and I stayed in a private room with an en suite bathroom. The room and bathroom were both quite spacious.

There are so many fun things to do at this hostel. They throw parties, there is a happy hour with one euro beers, they show whatever game is on in the large meal room (the Euro Cup was playing while we were there). It seemed that nearly everyone at this hostel while we were there was from America, this made making new friends quite easy. The hostel also offers fun outside activities including a free walking tour of the city, a group trip on a huge sailboat in the Mediterranean and other fun activities.

There does seem to be a slight issue in this hostel with organization. While we were there a girl we did not know had stored her macbook computer in the hostel's safe. Apparently the hostel misplaced this laptop. I later discovered that the computer was found and returned to this girl, but one should consider alternate methods of safeguarding one's belongings. My friends and I did all leave our iPads in the safe and had no issues with them.

There is free breakfast every day and an option to buy lunch and dinner. The staff will help you with whatever you want to do while in Nice. I suggest this hostel!
