“Delicious!”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

Seven days spent in Nice and not one without its Amorino ice-cream. It was absolutely delicious and they say it's all natural. After having a large one you'll want two more. Now that's what I call real gelato italiano!

“What happened? It's terrible now”
Reviewed January 24, 2012

Went back here because loved the hot chocolate; this time it was all hot water, weak, extremely diluted, nothing like it was a few months ago, and nothing like it is in London or Paris where I have also had the Amorino hot chocolate. We reported it to the server, she insisted it was the way it should be. So avoid this outlet. But generally other Amorinos are reliable and great quality, I have no explanation for the curious exception here and the extremely watered down drink with one third the normal whipped cream as well.

“Lovely, smooth, best tasting ice cream; gorgeous hot chocolate drinks”
Reviewed November 1, 2011

THis is the best ice cream I have had in France or Italy, it is terrific, and artisanal: there are no artificial flavours or colourings and they use organic eggs. It is quality and taste. Plus, there are waffles, great. ANd the hot chocolate drink was stupendous.

“Yum! All natural, good flavors.”
Reviewed October 9, 2011

I've found that overly abundant vacation ice cream can be artificial and commercial-tasting. Not Amorino with yummy, natural tasting flavors, good selection, unlimited selection per cone in a cute rose petal pattern. We went there 2 of 2 days in Nice. Do not miss the Caramello.

“Foulest hot chocolate ever- walk on by”
Reviewed February 28, 2009

This cafe glacier is a recent addition to the many glacier in Nice.
It belongs to a small chain and I'd heard many people wax lyrical over the icecreams on the Paris Trip Advisor forums.
Its a tiny l place on rune Massena with halfa dozen tables outside and a couple of bar type stools and small ledges inside.

Since it was a cold day we decided to have the supposedly authentic italian hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate that resembles freshly melted dark chocolate but this was the most horrible and artificial seeming beverage i have ever tasted.
I had chosen the spiced mayan or aztec hot chocolate and my husband the extra dark

This 'hot chocolate' was thick and gloopy with a mouth feel like wall paper paste or slime and absolutely not taste of chocolate and the 'spices' were like randomly added muesli

My husbands 'hot chocolate' was also some sort of warm brown jelloid substance with no chocolate flavour

The drinks were so foul we could not take more than a couple of mouthfuls

So all in all a very disappointing and expensive experience

btw We did not taste the ice cream but the selection is tiny by Nice standards and after the hot chocolate experience I doubt I would every give it a try

I have to give this place one star because that's how the TA software works but it really deserves zero stars
