Restaurant is really a wine bar with great food. Order from the chalk boards. Excellent personal attention. Food prepared with care and excellent ingredients, complimented by fine selection of wines. Reasonably priced and unpretentious. We could have eaten here everyday while in Nice.

We returned to this interesting restaurant with our older children for New year's dinner. It was a fixed price menu for the occasion. And it delivered once again. The Amuse Bouche was a simple smoked salmon surrounding a dab of raw salmon - almost sashimi in its quality and execution. The appetizer was sublime - two types of foie gras terrine, one having been soaked in wine. Delightful, though the portion was almost too much. Another treat to follow, lobster bisque. It had a flavor of soupe de poisson (and the accompanying saffron) and big, meaty chunks of lobster. Very luxurious. The main was goose breat with local veg, including chestnuts. Included was a very large stuffed cabbage leaf. Was the stuffing more goose 9confit) or other grain and offal - almost like haggis. but delich! Again, a very large portion. The piece de la resistance was a chocolate lava cake that oozed choc granache (or the like) with a side of lemon sherbert. All perfectly executed. The service started great, possibly as we were the only table at 8pm, but slowly slowed as the restaurant filled. Good wine selection and a very accomodating staff.

Gorgeous food in simple cafe settings. Lentil and foie gras soup was fulfilling and satisfying, followed by pan seared iberica bellota pork loin..delish! Swear those black feet make for a unique fragrant taste. Service was warm and friendly, like most of Nice. Probably one of the best regions in France!
