Myself,my husband and our two teenage children had a wonderful stay at Heart of Banaparte. Everything flowed beautifully from booking, communications with John, to meeting the lovely Isabelle on our arrival and not forgetting the very kind welcome goody bag from John and Alice.
The apartment was immaculate with super comfy beds, crisp white sheets, fluffy towels. Uk tv, 100s of movies which was fab when the kids needed some chill out time in the evening, google home which came in handy and all the amenities you could possibly look for, a real home from home!!
We loved the decor and the apartment which was quirky and oozing with charm!! It had exposed beams, large windows, a lovely balcony to sit in the evening . My husband is 6ft 4 and had to duck in some parts but this added to the fun, ha ha!!
The apartment is located in Rue Bonaparte which is a haven of lovely restaurants and bars, we had a fantastic meal it the restaurant below on our first night ( Chez Papa).
The location was perfect, situated directly behind Garibaldi square, we walked everywhere, 5 minutes to the Port then carried on round the coast to find lovely coves to swim, we loved exploring the little streets in the old town which was a haven of everything you never knew you needed and was directly on our doorstep, 10 minutes to the beach (dont forget water shoes and the pebbles are molten!!) We even walked to the Nice Riquier station in about 20 minutes to get the train to Monaco and surrounding villages. be sure to walk up the Castle hill for outstanding 360 views.
We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it highly to others.
Thank you John and Alice for being so accommodating.
The location is ideal. An easy fifteen minute walk to the beach, likewise to the main train station. Otherwise good transport links. Great places to eat and drink near the location with a real buzzing atmosphere. Definitely recommend
This was the best apartment we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The apartment was beautifully designed, with details in every corner. The bedrooms are quite spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The place is super clean and they have the fluffiest towels I have ever seen! It has a nice patio, washing machine, and the best-equipped kitchen ever! Isabelle, who came to show us around, was super nice and helpful! The location was ideal, and the apartment was the perfect place to cook up a nice meal at the end of a long day of sight-seeing. We couldn’t have imagined a more suitable apartment. Thank you, John and Alice for letting us stay at your beautiful apartment and for being so nice and helpful!
Beautifully appointed apartment in a great location. Was amazed how near everything was, Place Garibaldi (which we think is the nicest Square in Nice) the Port, the Old Town were virtually all on our doorstep and a 15 minute amble through the delightful Old Town brought us to the gorgeous sea front Promenade. The area around Rue Bonaparte abounds with great restaurants, bars and cafes to sit and watch Nice life go by - and it didn't feel touristy! We felt like we were surrounded by locals. The apartment itself was stunning, superbly decorated in a 50-60's style, with great attention to detail and everything on hand that we needed. We all agreed that the beds were incredibly comfortable, which is so important! We spent a good deal of time on the balcony which is colourful and was ample for four of us to have a coffee and croissant in the morning and early evening drink before going out. Super break! Can't wait to go back.
We had a great stay in this apartment. Rue Bonaparte is an increasingly popular location with its cafes and restaurants and a really good base to explore some of Nice's best known sights - the old town and the market in Cours Saleya, Place Garibaldi, the port, etc. The apartment is charming with lots of character and is equipped with everything you might need if you do decide, as we did, to cook dinner on some evenings. It was lovely to start our days with breakfast on the terrace. We're longing to come back and stay here again sometime.
We thought we knew Nice quite well as this is our third visit, however the quarter around Rue Bonaparte is very sweet and interesting and so close to everything. Buses, trams and rail stations nearby and so a great place to be based. The accommodation was lovely and matched the description and pictures to a tee! Mid century style with all the modern creature comforts. Enjoyed breakfasts on the balcony and was grateful for shade when returning after a day out.
