Thank YOU!
Shouldn't all dining experiences be fantastic, and not only your home made?

It is always reassuring to come back to a place and find nothing has changed. In this case, a year later the food is still freshly made with organic vegetables, the taste is still refreshingly original and the owner still mad about high quality olive oil. He enthusiastically explained that all the dishes are chosen so as to bring out the olive oil experience on to our table. You will leave this restaurant with your taste buds satisfied and your stomach well lubricated with all the olive oil. The coffee is nothing less than Malongo Haiti. High quality.
We love the Malongo coffee range. It should be noted that they also sell some ephemeral coffees, exactly what we do with some of our olive oil discoveries!
Thank you and see you on your next visit.
Visited Oliviera on our second evening dining in Nice and wasn't disappointed.
The owner welcomed us to the small, yet comfortable dining area and soon given menus and asked what we would like to drink.
Although the menu offered a varied number of choices for starter and main, unfortunately there wasn't any seafood or fish options which would have been helpful as we don't eat meat.
The dishes we selected had fresh ingredients and were quickly brought to the table. The owner poured Olive oil over each dish which fortunately wasn't heavy but pleasant tasting.
All-in-all, a good dining experience and with wine worked roughly out at £EU35/ person and therefore well worth hunting out and located away from the tourist traps of the main tourist area.
Seafood and fish are extremely delicate. They should be used in the same day it is purchased.
In view of our very small size, we avoid them.
Nevertheless, if you happen to drop by on more active months, we do serve a "Dolmas of Gravadlax", which is a gravadlax rolled in swisschards with some fresh herbs.
It, also, will not disappoint you!
Thank you
We visited Oliviera on a Friday evening in January and were not disappointed. The prior e-mail booking confirmation was as welcoming as our greeting on arrival. The owner is a most endearing character and takes great pride in explaining the menu in either English or French. With each course / dish he brings out a different olive oil to accompany it and describes the source and qualities of each with a passion that is obviously sincere. The food is fresh and portions generous - if a little on the expensive side, although this is more than compensated for what, to us, was a memorable dinner and evening. My only real criticsim was that fish was not offered for either starter or main course in a restaurant situated on the Med coast. There are, however, at least two vegetarian options for each. Overall, highly recommended and will definitely return!
We do make fish occasionally, in the for of "Dolmas of Gravadlax", which is a gravadlax rolled in swisschards with some herbs.
But we serve it only in active months for freshness sake.
We also strive to keep at least 50% of our short menu vegetarian. In season, nothing is better than olive oil on vegetables.
Thank you for your recommendation, and expect you back.
Me and my daughter and 15 month old baby dined at Oliviera last night - my last night in Nice. The meal was lovely - good tasty home-made fare. With each dish came a recommendation of olive oil to complement it. All very delicious. What made the night for us though was the friendly welcome and service throughout the time we were there. As it was past baby's bed-time he was beginning to get restless but the owner showed great patience, chatting to him and generally diverting his attention and even gave us a free pasta especially made for him. I can't underestimate the difference it made to our evening. My thanks go to the gentleman owner. I would definately recommend this small restaurant.
Babies are welcome.
Are they not my future guests?
;-)
