“Lovely restaurant, passionate owners and fine food!”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

We have been to Oliviera several times and have always found it to be charming and warm. We went with Matt and Gayle with Nice Pebbles (another fine company) in Nice, we stayed late and all had a great time. Mr. Beyrouti is really passionate about his oils and we love his enthusiasm. The food was perfectly prepared by his hard working wife. I had the rabbit and it was impeccable. We lived across the street (Rue Collet) and could see the happy people leaving every night. Charming owners with a passion for food and olives---we can hardly wait to return. Thank you Nadim.

Nice Pebbles started the same year Oliviera opened!

“The guy loves his olive oil”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

And the food is very good as well and a friendly welcome. It was a joy to visit and I would recommend to anybody (especially those who like olive oil on their Tiramisu).

It seems you loved our oils, as much as we do.

“Unique dining experience”
Reviewed December 15, 2012 via mobile

Oliviera showcases the artisan olive oil producers of the region, with different oils used to complement each dish. The owner explains all - and this adds to the experience. You can taste the sunshine! Great food in relaxed surroundings. Reservations essential.

“Fabulous local food”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

Fabulous food that left us with a taste of dining locally. The service was personal and highlighted flavors and compliments in a unique way--all the better that the owner is bringing local olive oil production into every aspect of the menu. Fresh, friendly, and worth the reservation.

After all, isn't Oliviera before anything else an olive oil shop?
Thank you, Hungarian rose.

“Olive oil all the way”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

I suppose this is the kind of restaurant tourists love because it offers the "olive oil experience" Dining with a difference - Something to tell friends at home about..........
Yes, different olive oils abound at this restaurant. But why? Did we really notice how the addition of olive oil enhanced the flavour of the food we ordered? Are our average taste buds so sophisticated that we can appreciate the difference? Do we even need additional olive oil on our food?
Nadim was friendly and efficient. The lady chef charming. The wine was good and the food tasty BUT in my opinion overpriced. After all, it was only pasta but then I know the area. I'm not a tourist!

"Do we even need additional olive oil on our food?"
Olive oil is always better appreciated "on top" of food, rather than "below". Ask any honest producer. We, for one, hardly use it in the kitchen.
If you really want to grasp the nuances of different olive oils, please drop by for a sampling; it is free and is extremely appreciated by all, tourists included.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make that point.
