I don't really know alot about gelato...so perhaps I shouldn't be reviewing it....
BUT!! When I am in Nice (as I often am), I always stop at Fenocchio's for gelato...and don't have anything else for lunch.
The selection is wide, the turnover is quick, and you better know what flavours you want, because the lineups are significant. I would advise you stay away from the mint - when I was there it was only granite (frozen ice water with mint flavouring) still very good, but not what I was expecting.
The salted caramel is outstanding!!
It is a bit pricier than other gelaterias in old Nice...4E for two scoops, but not so much more than the rest.

숙소 바로 앞이라 자주 갔는데, 맛 종류가 정말 많습니다. 특히 다양한 과자나 청량음료맛의 젤라또는 특별한 경험이었습니다. (몇 가지는 약간 불량한 맛이 날 수 있음 ㅎㅎ) 과일맛은 신선하고 좋았고요.

They carry lots of flavor, even has candy bars and soft drinks flavor. I taste the watermelon, peach, pistachio, cherry, caramel, white chocolate.... and I loved it.

I have eaten a gelato literally everyday on my 3 month europe trip through greece, italy and france. I havent had a bad one yet. This one was most hyped and judging by the crowd i was expected to be wowed. However even upon glace they dont look great. I had 3 flavours, pistachio, hazelnut and coconut.
Pistachio was ok, had a bit of a liquer aftertaste.
Coconut was terrible! Verrryyyy sweet.
Hazelnut i must say the flavour was nice.
But the texture was not soft a creamy like gealto should be. They are very sugary and artificaly flavoured or at least taste like they are. Its just like buying one from the supermarket cartons.

Such a good place to buy some unusual flavoured ice-cream, visited twice to try a good mixture. Worth a visit and not too expensive at all, expected it to cost more with Nice prices. Went here instead of getting dessert as restaurants. It was busy even at 10pm +.

I have always found Fenocchio ice cream had nothing special and were too sweet. I believe they use a decent quality of ingredient to make their ice cream but the overall result is just OK. Service is "french style" if you understand what I mean, and price is doubled compared to other touristic cities in Europe. The only reason they have such good critics is because of the lack of competition according to me.
