We had lunch there on a Friday in April. The food and wine were of a very high standard; the service was welcoming and efficient; all in all the best restaurant experience of our week in Nice.
This bistro style restaurant is an offshoot of the more upmarket place next door. The chef makes no secret of this and came to talk to diners on this side of the house as well as on the pricier side. His menus are seasonal and make good use of local produce - although it has to be said that just about all sea fish (as opposed to farmed fish) sold in Nice is from the Atlantic. Good wine is available in 50cl carafes, which seem much more suited to two lunchtime customers than a whole bottle. This is widespread in Nice and should be encouraged elsewhere.
