I always stay here when working in the area, this week I was delighted with the improvements to the room, TV in a better position and more power points near the desk. It was the chef's night off so Angelo the owner cooked, beautifully prepared and delicious - he was even happy to share his recipe and technique for the pasta sauce !

Stayed more than 5 times in this hotel. Very friendly and professional owner and staff. You need a car but get free private parking. Very close to Cannes (10 mins drive) and Vieux Mougins (5 mins drive). Rooms are small but very clean incl small refrigerator. Good beds, flat screen TV and AC. Bathroom not big but sufficient. Always plenty of hot water. Small but nice swimming pool. Breakfast is good. Hotel has 2 stars but to my opinion it should have 3. Really value for money. Don't expect 4/5 star luxury but if you want a good stay for limited costs than you should stay here!! Owner/manager is very friendly and speaks multiple languages.

Internet didn't work for one day but this was not caused by the hotel. There was no internet in the whole area due to a broken main cable.

We had travelled down for the Euro match for Iceland Hungary in Marseille and this was an ideal stop off point on the way. The rooms were basic had a bathroom with tub, air con and fridge. For 30 Euros per head this was good value. Two star and very helpful manager and decent freshly baked breakfast (9 Euros) We left a jacket behind and they put it aside and phoned us and we picked it up on the way back. For a budget hotel with no frills and good basics it did the job.

Room tip: Back of the hotel a bit quieter

I have stayed in this hotel several times a year since 2006 when in Cannes on business. It's excellent value offering basic but clean accommodation and Angelo the owner/manager and his staff have consistently looked after me well. The out of centre location on the motorway with plenty of parking suits me well, but light sleepers should ask for a room at the back and public transport is not close for those without a car. I keep coming back as after a long journey or working day getting in off the motorway is easy (it can take over 30 minutes to get into town at rush hours), the pool is refreshing and dinner is always first class. Value for money? Yes the half board rate is way less than just a room in town. Book direct with Angelo to discuss your requirements, he has never failed to give a great room and good service.

Room tip: Traffic noise at the front, quiet at the back, distant roof and sea views to the front.

Horrible Hotel with rude owner. Over priced. Paid more than daily rack rate. Booking.com & hotel cheated on charging more on booking in advance. While booking, it was clearly mentioned in T&C that credit card amount would just be kept on hold and payment has to be made at the hotel in person and in local currency, but my amount was deducted in advance for an Non-refundable booking. No transport is available to go to any place except if you have your own vehicle.

Closest bus stop is 1.5 kms away and risky to reach. Bus frequency (line 630) has very few buses each day on this route. No taxi are available, wherein you land up paying more than double on fare as taxis come from Le Cannet or Mougins Village and waste your precious time. In case of any emergencies like medical attention, you may risk your life staying here.

The hotel could not provide a bottle opener to us for opening beer bottles, as it had only one opener, which they refused to part. Air conditioner, Mini Fridge in room was not working. Torn towels were provided. No body gel for shower was provided either. There is no shower curtain provided in between bath (wet) and dry area, thus making entire bath area wet and slippery. There is no proper ventilation in bathroom.

Small room could barely fit only one bag in the room which has double bed for two persons occupying the room. Locking and opening your main room door is another feature that you would hate to use. Front rooms are very noisy due to traffic outside and behind rooms are deserted. So no sense in staying here. There is no stunning view from any room.

We booked this place after talking to the owner over telephone twice and clearing all doubts about availability of transport as this was the closest hotel property available to us at last minute to reach Palais des Festivals. We were there for Cannes Film Festival, a season time full of tourist, still there was no occupancy other that us in the hotel for few days and it looked like haunted place to us. At one point of time we were thinking of changing our hotel, but could not find one due to Cannes Film Festival. In summer time, we did no see any one utilizing swimming pool as it was not clean. Under staffed, poor services & last but not the least had very very rude owner, managing the hotel, never ever seen before in hospitality industry.

At weekends restaurant is shut, so no lunch & dinner. Having no transport or close by restaurant, you can go empty stomach. Finally its a dead place not worth even at half its price. Breakfast time on Monday's starts at 8.30 am, which is too late.

The only good point is that it has a good chef and really prepares awesome meals.

Will not recommend any other guest to make booking through Booking.com as daily rack rate for double occupancy was 55 euros for first three days and for rest of days was 75 euros, whereas I was charged 96 euros for each day for stay of 9 days, by giving me a impression of only 2 rooms left at this price and notification that 2 rooms have been booked in last 12 hours. Seems Booking.com and Hotel management are hand in glove to flees guest by overcharging. Have felt cheated and over charged by about 250 to 300 euros, under Booking.com fleecing policy.

The best choice a tourist can make is not to choose Hotel Belvedère Cannes Mougins.

Please note that all of my above comments are substantiated by photos

Dear Mr STJ-KSJ, thank you for giving us your feedback.
Our goal is to give full satisfaction to our customers' expectations. Your return as a customer allows us every day to improve. We are sorry to let you know that your claim aiming to destroy the hotel reputation and mine does not seems to workout well for you, as we have many other guests enjoying good experience with us as you can see by yourself on booking customers reviews and Trip Advisor.
Most of your negative remarks are clearly stated on booking web-page which means that you should have seen them at the time you made your reservation at our hotel. therefore I would suggest for your next trip to Cannes to pay more attentions under the descriptions each hotel is publishing on the booking page, this will help you to make the right decision in selecting your hotel.
Concerning our rates during the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL, according to our documented survey we were the cheapest hotel in the area during the FILM FESTIVAL , further more the hotel switchboard is linked with my mobile therefore in case of emergency I' am available 24hrs on 24, the restaurant is open for dinner every week from Monday to Thursday included, again this is stated on booking web-page; wishing good luck on your next booking reservation!!
Yours Sincerely,
Angelo Saponara
