The hotel on a whole is very beautiful, great location and just a few minutes away from Cannes famous boulevard de la Croisette. The staff at Hotel de Mougins is friendly and very helpful. The location is what makes this hotel so breathtaking because although you are close to the French Riviera, Mougins is a small and tranquil town which makes everything so much more relaxing. Most rooms come with a private terrace, hotel is country French style and the yard is beautiful. The hotel in addition offers free internet access which is unusual in Europe. The only downside is that in the mornings there is a lot of noise coming from guests embarking or disembarking from their cars. Other than that, I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

incredible breakfast! it was not included in the room price but you should pay extra for it if you need to, no question about it. the atmosphere is so relaxed and elegant and it is realy pampering to stay here. very romantic. i wouldn't advise staying with small children.
take into account that you a need a car as it is in a small village (well renowned for its restaurants). rooms are beautiful and offer a great deal of privacy.
will happily come again.

We stayed at the Hotel De Mougins while house hunting..............We booked a standard room and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room and cleaniness. The decor was lovely - very french - shabby chic - creams and whites. The bathroom was well fitted, hard to find in some hotels in France.

The hotel grounds are well kept and pretty - the pool was great, plenty of sunbeds even though it was October. The patio area had tables and chairs set out for morning coffee and lunch.

The reception staff and other staff were all very friendly - all spoke english and happy to help.

We ate in the hotel restaurant on one evening. While the meal was lovely, it was very expensive and other evenings we ventured up to the hilltop village of Mougins where there are lots of really good small restautants. Again expensive, but there again you don't come to this area and expect to get 'good value for money'.

All in all a great hotel, no compliants, except for the high prices - hot tip - for breakfast turn right out of the hotel and about 1/4 mile on the right is an excellent bakers - best croissants and coffee around!

This hotel is outside the historic centre of Mougins, and although the hotel entrance is off a main road (which leads to Sophia Antipolis - the Silicon Valley of Europe) it is very quiet.
The hotel itself is very nice and picturesque. There is a small but cosy lounge, with elegant French interior design, with a bar and fireplace. There is also a restaurant (later) and a beautiful open courtyard with a swimming pool, beautiful lawns and tables where one can have meals there as well (I would advise breakfast when in-season).
The rooms themselves follow the same design philosophy of the hotel - they are very comfortable, spacious and elegant.

During my last visit (always corporate), I went to the restaurant, which is quite expensive (25€ for starters, 35 for main courses, 15 for desserts). The food was quite good, but I would have two complaints - first of all, the menu is very limited (there were 4 -5 starters, 4 - 5 main courses, 4 - 5 desserts) on the evening I ate, there was no beef (i had the choice between lamb, fish or pigeon!!). Secondly the “garcons” tend to be quite young, inexperienced and maybe also lacking some professionality.

Apart from one night in February (where the heating was turned off) and two nights in April (where there were some ants in everyone’s rooms) I would recommend this hotel for corporate visits, as it really is quite beautiful (and American clients really enjoy it!).

We decided to stay at the Mougins after a hectic 4 days trying to relax in Nice...we cancelled our hotel in Cannes fearing the same and found a good deal at the Hotel de Mougins. We couldn't have made a better choice....attentive service, beautiful surroundings with a nice pool. Food is a bit pricey but it's actually good (compared to equally priced food we had at a private beach in Nice).
Room is small but has all amenities, a private balcony on the first floor and a large bathroom. Small touches like slippers in room make this hotel a true 4 star compared to many city hotels.
We've even extended our stay for a day and would highly recommended staying here for some rest and relaxation away from the tourist crowds.

Don't stay in Nice or Cannes.....stay in Mougins at the Hotel de Mougins. Close enough but just far enough away for peace and quiet. The staff and facilities not to mention the pool are nothing short of spectacular! Just wonderful in every way. The village of Mougins is lovely too. Can't wait to get back.

Be aware that the hotel is quite a bit out of the way. It's good if you have rented a car as taxis are very expensive getting into Cannes and back to the hotel. I'll try somewhere else next time, even if it means paying a bit more money just so that the location is better.

I did encounter a room problem. The shower in my room (but not in the room of my traveling partner) didn't get hot. I was so busy, that I didn't get around to telling them until after the second day. However, they still let me deal with a cold shower for a third night. After complaining _again_ they came up with a solution -- because it was the off-season, the room next door was available and they just gave me the key. I showered in the room next door for the remainder of my stay rather than bother with a room move.
