We booked a table for 2 on a weeknight. They were not too busy, one waiter should have been enough if he'd been a bit faster. It took the very discret waiter a while to come see us...
The mojitos looked very tempting but I doubt there was any rhum in my srawberry one.
After that all went well : the food was fantastic! Lots of well balanced flavours in the mixed entrées (smoked, grilled, very tasty olive oil), both couscous and tagine were cooked to perfection with a very interesting vegies julienne in the tagine. But yet again, the waiter was too slow to bring us more water, which we shouldn't even have to ask for. To finish, the deconstructed strawberry pastilla and its orange blossom milk cream was delightfull : thumbs up to the Chef!
As Middle Eastern cuisine is quite rich and consistant, we really appreciated to be discretly able to take away some of the food we couldn't fit in as we knew it's not very popular to do that in France.
The venue is charming but the playlist not always appropriate...
It's definitely on the expensive side but such a lovely experience that it's worth a taste!

We were a bit confused when we arrived as the car park has disappeared. We realised why when we entered the restaurant- tune car park is now a gorgeous tented carpeted extra part of the restaurant. We love La Menthe Douce. It was as good tonight as last time we were here if not even better. I adore the Moroccan tables and chairs,it's all just so pretty. There were three of us this evening, and "the menu" at 24 euros for 3 courses is extremely good value. We didn't want 3 courses though, and two of us had lamb and kefta with couscous, the other had chicken brochettes. It was all very authentic, very tasty, and we were very happy. The complimentary warm bread rolls are delicious, as are all the other extras that are served with the food.
Fantastic atmosphere, great service, good for larger parties or a deux, as the tables are so well spaced apart. Merci Menthe Douce, et à prochaine semaine !!

Our first visit to this restaurant last night with friends - and what a find!
We have heard mixed reports, and decided to try it for ourselves...I am so happy we did.
We love Marrakech, and this was just like stepping back there.
We were greeted by several people on arrival, and offered a choice of two tables, both beautiful. The setting is authentic Moroccan, brass tables, carved wood chairs, plenty of lanterns, rose petals on the tables....it's just lovely.
And it kept getting better. We love Moroccan wine and ordered a 22euro bottle of red, and very good it was too. All four of us each ordered a different dish, so that we could try each others,
and all were superb - authentic and very very tasty.
We were served by Slem, who was friendly and charming, and knew a lot about the wines, and helped us decide on our main courses, and the service was fantastic.
It was Saturday night, and every table was full, but it did not feel busy, as the tables are extremely well spaced apart.
There is a lovely outdoor terrace, which will open as soon as the weather warms up a bit.
I have no hesitation in recommending this gorgeous place, and we will become regulars from now onwards.
I simply cannot wait to go
back.
There are a few other Moroccan restaurants in the area but this one, in my opinion, is by far the best.

When you get tired of french and italian food in the riviera - this is a good break. The place has an extensive courtyard, comfortable sitting and real Moroccan food. Take a royal couscous - its wonderful. The place is clearly family run ad service is "informal" and not very professional so don't come if you are in a hurry. They do speak very good english and are friendly however.
