This hotel has very small rooms! I could barely manuever my suitcase into the room. The saving grace about this hotel is its location near the beach. I was here only one night as part of a Cosmos tour so got a short period of time in this lovely little town. Breakfast buffet was so-so. Wifi was free, however.

Room Tip: I rated room as poor only because it was so small.

A really good location. Easy access to all main attractions. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Helpful and welcoming staff. Good buffet breakfast.

I didn’t pick this hotel, but landed here by my own stupid mistake! I booked a hotel in Menton, during the Lemon Festival, on the wrong date, tried to check in and learned of my mistake. I was sent to the Hotel Mediterranee which had one last room left thus I was just happy to have a room in a fully packed city! The gentleman in reception was very professional and attempted to get me the best rate with breakfast, which is unheard of in France! As a single woman, traveling alone I try not to take ground floor rooms, this room was partially submerged, with windows at ground level! It had to be the tackiest room I have seen since my college days in the early 70’s with a goldenrod colored bathroom, wicker dressing draws, a pineapple lamp, orange curtains, miss matched nightstand lamps, red carpet laminated furniture and a strange arrangement of mirrors! It was however very clean except the carpet and the bed was very comfortable, but with a very tired looking bathroom. I was surprised to find coffee making facilities, a frig and English and Italian TV stations on a flat screen TV. It was also surprisingly quite being just across from reception. After my initial shock at so much orange and trip back to the 70’s, the room turned out to be very comfortable.

The location is excellent and was perfect for the Lemon Festival, which I really enjoyed. There are many, many! restaurants within a 2-15 minute walk, plus shopping and the beach. The breakfast was fine, despite being decimated by a swarm of tourists trying to make their 9am bus departure. The dinning room staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is over at 9:30 sharp! But can be served in your room until 11am.

This is a strange hotel, my room was badly in need of refurbishment but they work hard to win you over with very pleasant staff and nice amenities. I’m not sure I would stay here again, (I hate orange!) but if I landed here again by mistake, I wouldn’t be upset!

We booked online for 119 Euro including taxes and breakfast for a one night stay on 23 Feb during the 2012 Lemon Festival. The underground car park was 18 Euro/night. We were given a good sized room with modern, comfortable decor. It was clean and fresh with a nice bathroom, good linens and free in-room wifi. Room 15, on the ground floor at end of hallway from reception, was a bit noisy during the day but very quiet at night. The room had glass doors opening to a half-level subterranean patio with small table and chairs. Automatic controlled external blinds covered all patio glass exposure for privacy and safety. The reception staff were extremely helpful to check us in and get our car parked in the crowded parking garage. The location was very central to the sea front, downtown core and the Lemon Festival parade routes. There was at least one tour group in the hotel while we were there which was fine but makes for a crowded breakfast if you happen to be there at the same time as the group. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and very good. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay. And the Lemon Festival was great!

Very good hotel centrally situated for all the amenities that Menton has to offer. Good value for money, even during carnival week. Breakfast as expected and cleared away promptly at 9.30am! Room spacious and excellent sized bed. Downside was the shower which washed the tiles more than me. Overall very good value for money , would recommend the hotel to friends and would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but don't get the sun on the balcony.

The hotel is situated very close to the old town of Menton, and is an ideal location for visiting the town and its sights. Public transport to other places of interest on the Riviera is excellent, even working over the Christmas holiday period.
Rooms were adequate, if somewhat tired. Breakfasts were reasonable , but dinners were a great disappointment. The food was uninspiring, using very little of the fresh produce to be found in the local market! Was this simply catering to the mass market, or did the hotel proprietor feel this is what the English clientele expected? As we were on a half board basis, we found the ideal solution was to eat a good lunch outside the hotel and forget about the evening meal provided. Sadly not an experience to be repeated.
