On a recent visit to the Cote dAzur, we ate twice at P’tit Resto and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The small, family-run restaurant offers, especially in the fixed price, three course menus, good value in an area not renowned for it. The food is relatively simple but none the worse for that. Our starters included half a dozen oysters, fish soup served with croutons, aioli and cheese and smoked mackerel salad, all really tasty. Veal and steak mains were equally good as were the creme brulee and pear tart. Many of our fellow diners seemed to be local regulars so it’s best to book. We paid around €65 for the two of us which included Kirs and 75 cl of carafe wine. If you want a grand fine dining experience this is not the place but if you prefer a great little neighbourhood restaurant with good service and delicious food at keen prices give it a try.

Had dinner here on a Friday night. The dining room is quite small and filled when we arrived, so we sat outside. It was cool but comfortable. Service was quite good throughout considering one server took care of the whole place. The house rose wine was good and reasonably priced. I had the classic seafood broth/soup which was quite tasty. The main courses were a different story. My wife had a seafood mixed grille with an excellent piece of salmon, a decent grilled prawn and an overcooked and dry filet of swordfish. The dish came with a salad, potatoes and a tartar sauce. I chose the entrecote au poivre and ordered it medium rare. What came out was a very thin cut of meat smothered in a thin bland white sauce with black peppercorns. The meat was very tough and had a good deal of fat and gristle not apparent on presentation because of the sauce. The place looked to be a favorite with some locals but on balance, I would not return. Overall it was just passable and inmost of France you can do a whole lot better than that.

small, cosy dining room - clean and tidy. good welcome. wine served quickly. chose 23 euros menu and both starters were fine. both main courses, lamb and veal, too fatty and not acceptable - very disappointing. for pudding both tart dishes needed a little cream which wasn't offered. coffee fine.

A meal at Le P'tit Resto has become a routine fixture of our visits to Menton and the friends and family who have accompanied my wife and I wish they too could have such a consistently pleasing restaurant on their doorstep. The cooking is of a high standard ,particularly the fish, and represents top value for this area. Service is welcoming and efficient and although the room is on the small side , it is not cramped. Nothing is delegated and the owners evidently put the same amount of effort in every day with the clear aim of satisfying their customers. A little gem.

Though this is a small, informal restaurant , one is met with charm and courtesy at any time, whether alone or with a group. The food is wonderful, and the service quite delightful. The couple who run it seem to genuinely care that their customers have a pleasant experience, as, indeed, they do. Prices too, are very reasonable. Inevitably, many retired Menton residents - all exquisitely polite - eat there on a regular basis. So would I, given the chance. As it is, a few visits to Le P'tit Resto are timetabled in, whenever I'm in Menton.
