Mimozas Resort & SPA

Stayed here for 4 days in August and had a wonderful time. The rooms were very spacious and our rooms had small kitchenettes and nice views of the lake. The pool facility was lovely and perfect for families and the poolside restaurant was great for a quick bite. The service was great. Never ate in the restaurant but looked good for a chilled out evening. The only disadvantage is that it is not in central Cannes but it's only a few minutes down the road! It is good to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city but you can't walk to the beach! Overall it was a veryep enjoyable stay and will certainly return!

We spent 2 weeks at this resort in August and I must admit I was a little worried reading the reviews, however don’t believe everything you read! The standard of accommodation is good, we originally booked a 2-bed apartment but were upgraded to a 3-bed (not sure why but hey, don’t question!). We paid extra for a lake/golf view which I can highly recommend, particularly the golf views because you’ll be on a nice quiet part of the resort overlooking a very pleasant and peaceful bit of greenery (you can also be humoured by how many French golfers take their dogs with them around the course). The apartments are a decent size with very comfy beds and a good level of equipment.

Many of the negative comments on here are about the level of service, we found the service friendly and helpful, there is an important point though, my wife speaks French which helps a great deal. Make an effort with the language and the staff will respond, which is absolutely right, think of it the other way round with someone speaking to you in French in the middle of England. We had a couple of problems with the washing machine in the apartment which was fixed quickly and without any hassle whatsoever.

The pool area again is a good standard, the pool attendant is very keen on stopping people bagging sunbeds and regularly removed towels that had been left unattended for over an hour. One slight warning is the lack of parasols, but it’s not blistering hot that it makes them necessary.

The resort is about a pleasant 20 minute walk down the canal to the edge of the town/restaurants, and a further 10 minute walk to the train station where you can catch a train to Cannes, Nice, Monaco etc. You can drive to Cannes along the coast road which can take 15 minutes on a good traffic day and over an hour on a bad day. Beware the traffic on the coastal road can be a nightmare.

My only complaint would be the restaurant, not the standard of food but the fact that we couldn’t get in! The resort was a mixture of rental and half board and every time we tried to get in the restaurant they claimed they only had enough food for the half-boarders. The problem was they didn’t seem to know this until each evening, so you had to try and try again each night, after a while we gave up trying. We ate in the town restaurants which are a good standard, try the ones up by the train station.

So in summary, a nice place, good service, good standards, annoying restaurant policy, for the money it’s not bad value. If you’re looking for 5-star in this area, don’t expect change from £500-£600 pound a night in this area!

Room Tip: Pay extra for a lake/golf view, it's worth it.

Spent 8 days at the resport in August with my 4 kids and had a fantastic time. Great location, wonderful town, lovely pool, gorgeous lake setting and gardens, very well kept and clean. Was apprehensive about rooms but was pleasantly surprised about size of rooms and rooftop balcony. Staff were immensely helpful. Loved the boules court

Would agree with previous reviewer that parking is a rip off and for a self catering hotel would have expected in house shop to have wieder variety of goods. Also proximity to airport can make it a little noisy

All in all highly recommended and would defintiely go back

Room Tip: ask for alke view and if possible try for the roof balcony appartments that have a private hot tub

As an owner a a leaseback property at this resort I can only say the management are incompetant, rude and arogant beyond belief. My wife and I have been treated terribly be the management turning our dream of having a French holiday home into a nightmare that has almost bankrupted and caused untold distress. The general management of the resort is amatuerish at best and faulty towers at worst. The resort if run properly would be a lovely place to stay with easy access up and down the famous coast, however, the management have made me hate France and the French,. Their behaviour is disgusting and they dishonour themselves and their country.

At check -in we were told absolutely nothing about the resort, parking, restaurants, bars, shop. We were given the key and a pack and that was ALL! In the apartment there were several issues - broken airconditioning, faulty dishwasher, broken cooker and a broken chair. Six calls later regarding the airconditioning, it was fixed. The Technician was very good when he came but he obviously didnt get the job from Reception until we made 6 calls, but it was apparent the apartment hadnt been checked properly. After negotiating our way through dog poo, we were dismayed that there were no parasols at the Pool, this was one of the main reasons for us booking the resort, shade at poolside and air-conditioning. Pool staff are very efficient in managing the pool area, pool bar staff also very good. Reception staff will respond to you but they are not assets to MMV, they couldnt care less and dont make any effort to ensure your holiday is a good one. We asked at Reception if we could book a table for Table Du Lac restaurant for buffet night and were informed, they have a no booking policy. When we arrived at the restaurant, we sat down , the children went to choose from the buffet and at that point Stefan told us to move because the tables had been reserved for 8 guests! He was ignorant, arrogant and totally unprofessional. We explained we were told there was no booking policy and he shrugged his shoulders and muttered in French to us to move out. We explained to Reception and they took his side. We were told our apartment would be cleaned on Monday, three calls later to the inept Reception staff, we still await it to be cleaned. It does not deserve 4 star status. Parking is a complete rip off as is Wifi. Avoid this resort. It is a pity that this lovely resort is completely spoiled by unhelpful and arrogant Reception and Table du Lac staff.

Room Tip: Do not book it .

its the height of the French tourist season and the place was almost deserted. I wondered how our large travel group got booked for lodgings there b/c we usually have to stay in 3 star hotels to stay on budget, But I guess its not popular since its so far from the beach so we were lucky to be able to stay here. The suites were very nice, clean, and well kept. The hotel staff seemed somewhat disinterested but since we were only there for 2 nights and were not trying to use the amenities it was fine. I had an awesome mojito at the bar, and the breakfast buffet was very good. I would definitely go there again especially if I were going to Cannes.

Room Tip: very nice well kept suites
