“Great little restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2012

It's good to see a young couple continue the tradition of small family-run Provencale restaurants. Food is the best in Juan-les-Pins for the price. Service is generally excellent and the ambiance will get there given time.

“Shame”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2012

It seems all too common in this part of France that restaurants either disappear or decompose. This is an example of the latter. By telephone the foie gras and veal chop were no longer available. Provided food was poor with partly cooked frozen fish. A chop specially requested was inedible. Avoid this first choice restaurant. It is now not worth a visit

“Great food but no ambiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2011

This is a canteen rather than a restaurant. Not even a painting or a mirror adorn the walls of this drab place. Madame Anne serves whilst husband Philippe cooks. The food is amazing and unforgettable. Superb quality house made fois gras with a tasty onion chutney was a great starter followed by a very generous veal chop of such flavour and generosity as you might find in a very haut cuisine place. Simple poire au chocolate desert made this in total a fine gastronomic experience. Despite the decor this is a great place

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2011

We ate here based on the listing in the Michelin Red Guide. Also it was within walking distance of our hotel. The restaurant was quiet when we ate there and we chose the fixed price menu. The service was nice and helpful and the food was excellent. My wife rates the pumpkin soup as the best dish of our entire vacation. The dishes came at a nice pace, not too slowly and not rushed and everything was very good. Although the wine list was not huge there seemed to be a good choice and we chose a cotes de provence which was very enjoyable.

“Best in JLP”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2011

Service by the owner/waitress was excellent and the dishes prepared on the spot were outstanding although I'd be hard pressed to remember the names; and served HOT. Prices were normally Europe-tourist-high, but a pleasure compared to the outrageous overcharges along the sea-front for less professional preparation and service. My wife asked the owner to "surprise her" for dessert, which he did. It was a deliciously mouth-watering fruit concoction that she's still talking about two weeks later.
