Great wallpaper and fun touches all over the hotel. Good size room (we had a triple) overlooking the garden. Even so, as it's centrally located surrounded by restaurants and bars, quite noisy in the middle of the night. The double bed was extremely hard, and the pillows desperately need to be replaced. Good breakfast, freshly squeezed juice, home made cakes, in the nice garden. A good effort, but a little more is needed to recommend this hotel as a holiday destination.

A well situated hotel with very quirky decor. The decor is absolutely fabulous and fun. The hotel is set among some great restaurants and wonderful clothing shops. Our bed needed to be replaced, it staged in the middle and we kept running out of hot water. The breakfast is reasonable with some nice home baked goods. Each day our room is restocked with home biscuits, which are delicious. It is a short walk to the beach, bus stop and train station. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: We chose a suit, which are more suited for longer stays.

I stayed at the Mademoiselle for one night. Arrived late and picked up my lee from the reception desk (unmanned after 8pm). My suite turned out to be just a large room. Decoration and other special features are fun and give a special feel to the place. However, the owners should focus on service - there was someone else's garbage in the bathroom bin and the shower head installation was barely attached to the wall. A bottle of water in addition to the homemade biscuits would come very handy. Location can ve a bit nousy on Friday and Saturday nights. Breakfast was not impressive (croissants, butter, jams, basic yoghurt). I would not recommend for a long stay, but this place is perfect for a romantic getaway.

A beautifully quirky and modern hotel in an amazing town. Hotel owners were friendly and helpful with suggestions on things to see and do in the area. Hotel was very clean and in a great location, walking distance to the casino, lots of restaurants and drinking destinations, the beach and if you don't mind a longer stroll you can walk to the old port wich has a maze of gorgeous lanes to discover.

Hotel Mademoiselle is a recently renovated hotel with an excellent location right in the centre of Juan-les-Pins. The hotel is 5 mins from the train station and 2 mins from the beach. The nearby supermarket and bread store ("Juan-les-Pains") really serve for a lovely breakfast if you wish to enjoy something more than just croissants in the morning.

The hotel however is not in that good condition, and the overall appearance was surprisingly untidy. It is not a mess but the house maid could do much better. Our room was small but rather quiet even though located in the town centre. There was no safe box in the room.

If I came back to JLP, I might come back to this hotel, especially due to its location. No major complaints but I expected little bit more based on other reviews and hotel price.

Then, some general notes to those visiting Juan-les-Pins and Riviera for the first time.

JLP is a lovely French beach town which is very busy in the high season. JLP however is not a place to spend much time on the beach, as there are only few public beaches which are all very small and awfully crowded. The private beaches or beach clubs, which there are numerous, are quite expensive (25 euros per person) and the best front line places should be reserved several days before. For these reasons, we visited Cannes several times from JLP for our beach time. The train from JLP to Cannes was very cheap, quick and there is plenty more room in the public beaches of Cannes. So, if you are prepared to do some commuting during your holiday in Riviera, JLP is an excellent base camp.

My wife and I stayed there for four days in May 2012. This was the best find of all the hotels we stayed in during our time in Southern France. All of the rooms have individual characters and ours was like being in Alice in Wonderland. Very clean and the owers were friendly, helpful and made our stay something special. Located close to the beaches, shopping and bars (which we spent an inordinate amount of time in) it was also close to the rail station which allowed us to travel quickly to Cannes, Nice or anywhere else.

I highly recommend it for any traveller who dosen't own a yacht.
