Reviewed January 13, 2014

I've been pleased to stay in one of the most famous hostel of Juan les Pins.
Everything went well for the reception sea-view bedroom.

You can feel the atmosphere and the history of the place, almost magical.

Room Tip: Get there during "Jazz à Juan", one of the closest hostel of the festival. You can enjoy...

Met the owner...extremely gracious . Great sea view rooms with each room telling a story. Restaurant experience was 5 star with 3 attendants servicing. Met the young chef..it was a delightful dining experience from the starter to the desert. Great location to celebrate anniversary and/or birthday...

Room Tip: sea view-higher floors

First of all we would like to thank you for your recent stay at the Belles Rives as well as for having shared your opinion with the TA Community.
Your review is very important to us and it is one of the nicest Christmas presents we could receive!!

Our family, who owns and runs the hotel since its opening in 1929 is very proud of the history of the property and we are very happy to learn that you enjoyed it.

We are delighted to read that you appreciated your dinner in our gastronomic restaurant La Passagère. Our recently hired head chef, Yoric Tièche, proposes a tempting and inviting cuisine and his proposals, together with the ones of our pastry chef, Steeve Moracchini, are always prized by our guests. We have forwarded your compliments to the whole kitchen and service team.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Belles Rives whenever your travel plans will lead you to the south of France and, meanwhile, we wish you a merry Christmas and very happy 2014!

Yours Sincerely,

The Management

This is the hotel where F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife would spend their summer holidays. The hotel seems to continue embracing the luxury of the 30's with its Art Deco style and it reminds me of the Great Gatsby's mansion. It is a gorgeous hotel! Me and my friend were welcomed with a bottle of rose and a few delicious macaroons. The room was beautiful with nice street view. We each got comfortable robes to lounge around. The hotel itself is gorgeously luxurious but does not feel pretentious. There was a huge terrace with a gorgeous view to the marina/beach where we would take a delicious breakfast each morning. There is a bar where a piano player would play beautiful songs at night. It's a dreamy hotel and is close enough to many towns like Antibes, Cannes, St Tropez etc to take day trips. There are many restaurants, bars and beach clubs walking distance from the hotel. Highly recommended for a truly luxurious experience in the Cote D' Azur.

We stayed here in July 2013 with our 3 older "kids" (20, 18, 16). They cost us a fortune with their charges to beach lounges, beach toys, and eating, but... Otherwise, the hotel was just fantastic. Fabulous location on a beautiful oceanfront jetty. Sadly you have to pay extra for the lounges on the jetty, but this is the case in most places around the Cap d'Antibes. It's worth it but if you're paying for your children to luxuriate on a lounge you might want to be sure they'll actually use it before shelling out your approximately USD 30 each per day! The staff and especially William were fabulous and the breakfast is to die for (and you will die for the cost at Euro 30 per person if there are five of you, as there was with us)… Still, it is a uniquely sybaritic experience to lie on those lounges while contemplating what you might have for lunch. The lunches are fabulous at the Hotel also. We recommend taking the ferry to St. Tropez for a day trip. Yet another way for teenagers to spend your hard-earned cash, but ever so nice!
For fitness, there is access to the gym at the nearby sister hotel Juana. It is only just adequate.

Room Tip: Definitely splurge on an oceanfront room as it is so relaxing and beautiful.

A very small luxury hotel on the sea front. Staying in August is quite expensive and crowded in this part of France but this hotel is worth visiting. Friendly and professional staff. We had an unforgetable dinner at the gastronomic restaurant LA PASSAGERE. The panoramic sea view terrace was full but the entire team took great care of us. Great food and the staff have the know- how. Always a little something to surprise us all. The view there is impossible to be compared with any other hotels. The location, food, decoration & legend are simply second to none. Great Value for Money.

Room Tip: To be precised when you book, some rooms are quite small for long stay. The best time to come should...

Dear guest,
Please accept our most sincere gratefulness for your stay as well as for your kind review. Your words are our best satisfaction and have been forwarded to the whole team. We are particularly proud of our gourmet restaurant La Passagère and your comments are very important to us. We share your opinion about the location and the atmosphere of the Belles Rives. As Francis Scott Fitzgerald said, when you are on our terrace, you feel that it is one of those transitory moments in everyone’s life in which you get the impression that everything is going well.
We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back. May the charm of the Belles Rives remain with you for a long time.
Warmest regards,
