“Brilliant - Can't see how anyone can fault it.”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

We travelled as a group of two families with teenage children. It is our fourth time to Isola and this was a lovely surprise. We decided to go for apartments instead of a chalet because of the added facilities of the pool and Jacuzzi and it was a good decision. It was lovely to come back to those facilities at the end of a day skiing. The rooms were quite spacious, having the brilliant feature of two bathrooms, one with a loo and a separate loo - brilliant idea. Great kitchen facilities, ate in most nights. Very close to the slopes, shops and bus station, with breath taking views of the mountains and the slopes. The staff were very helpful, especially Jonas and Marie on the front desk, who spoke English and could not have helped us more. Even letting us stay in our room on the last day until our late bus, as our friends had been able to book one more day when booking and were charged less!! It was a very reasonable price for what we had, so we could not complain. This has been a brilliant find and we will be returning.

Room Tip: Front rooms are sunnier and breath taking views We booked a 6 person room for 4 people and that wor...

Just returned from a weeks ski-ing in Isola and stayed in these apartments for the first time with our friends who live in France. We have stayed in Isola 2000 many times and these are by far the best apartments and most convenient for the slopes we have stayed in. Our friends who booked the apartment thought we were getting 2 bedrooms but it transpires there are only 8 of these in the entire 2 block complex. We complained on arrival and the staff were very kind and helpful and allocated us an extra apartment that our friends stayed in at no extra charge. As cang30 has commented book larger rooms as the sofa bed when extended will fill the area of the lounge/kitchen. Also, the room you book for 4/6 people will probably have bunk beds if you don't want to sleep on the sofa which are really for kids or teenagers.

We travelled with a group. So the receptionist do not talked to us, even not answered to our questions, however I am an advanced frech speaker and a tourism pofessional! They were ingoring to everyone, that is not the way of providing services.
There is no Wi-Fi as it was offered and a French couple told us since it was neither on the week before... The spa is small and crowded, avarage. Good point is the parking and the place to leave our skis.
The house itself was really dirty, during the six nights they never cleaned the stairs, elevators or the hall. I know we were in an apartement, but why should I clean outside of it???
The apartments are not bad, newly made only some maintance work missing. Huge toilettes and bathroom, well equiped kitchen. Overall I liked it, exapt the sofa bad was uncomfortable.
The good joke was the cleaning: no hoover (that is usual in France), only a brush (not a broom or sweeper) and a swab without bucket. As we have complained about it, but nothing.
One night some other guests kick our door at 3:15 am, and bellow : " p*tain allez-y!" ... I know we were also a bit loud 2 times, but do not behaved like animals. When we told it to the receptionist, she said, it is fine...
At least, I loved our stay, because of the slopes and friends, but it is not a welcomed hospitality!

My friend and I decided to take a bus from Nice to Isola for the day. When we missed our bus back, MMV graciously found us a last minute room. The room was fabulous, and we woke up to breathtaking views of the Alps. We spent the next day skiing, and caught the bus later that afternoon. We are anxious to get back as our experience was absolutely amazing! There is also a heated pool and jacuzzi located inside the hotel; we did not make it, so now we have a great excuse to come back! :)

Sophie was very helpful at the front desk!--the rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly as well.

Good Points: Great location, large rooms, amazing views, friendly reception staff, underground parking and a place to leave your ski's.

To improve: The Spa area - we went in for free but if you have to pay don't, it's really not worth it. The bar - the guy opens when he wants and he is not exactly pleased to serve you.

Overall: For the price and all of the good points mentioned I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a large room with valley view and for the parking - worth it.

Accommodation: Self catering apartment, C2A LES TERRASSES D'ISOLA

A warm and helpful welcome at reception at all times and very flexible even though the limited opening hours clearly put them under great demand from demanding customers.
We were delighted with the standard and cleanliness of the accommodation, clearly recently completely re-furbished including a fully equipped modern kitchen, WC, bathroom and shower. With loads of storage for clothes and bags in the entry hall, the sleeping and living area remained uncluttered including a sunny balcony with views over the mountain proved great for a beer at the end of the day. Accommodation also included a Locker room for ski’s.
Walking to the piste was not a problem: turn left to resort central which would be about 10 minutes in ski boots, but the Sierra run is probably less than 50 yards to the right of the hotel – which we used to ski out and in from each day.
Wifi unfortunately only in reception area.

Ski Isola 2000:
Great for beginners and those supervising as the resort is built around the nursery slopes. Because there are many blue and green runs, novice skiers soon gain access to the stunning scenery around the resort. We would consider ourselves “respectably” competent skiers and had thoroughly explored all runs enjoying the Italian border point and the distant view of the Mediterranean and some very perfect ski conditions during our stay.

Travel to Isola 2000:
Arrived Nice and used an amazing transfer by bus to Isola at 5 euro each. Book ahead and check the timetables on line for the 100% Snow / 750 Isola 2000 route. However we bought tickets upon arrival as pre-booking afternoon trips on line was not possible (worth considering when booking your flight as taxi is a high cost option).

Eating In:
Well stocked food shopping facilities – but annoyingly we forgot to take our own things like salt and pepper which are wasteful purchases when abroad.

Eating Out:
We can only report on one Restaurant La Raclette (near the Cinema). We were very lucky to get a table three times, enjoyed great service and recommend the Fondue and Raclette as well as good Italian dishes.

A special thanks to Pascal LEQUENNE and Stella Cali stella.cali@residences-hotels-c2a.fr for being so very helpful.

Room Tip: 7th floor block B was great with balcony view to front of building.

Stayed here this year and booked again for next year. Great location in the middle of the nursey slope and easy access to the shops.

The room (duplex for 8-10 people) was clean, modern, nice bathrooms, decent kitchen reasonable well stocked for self catering. the lounge area was non-existant with a 2 seater sofa, which doubled up as the nineth and tenth beds, but nice dining area with table and proper chairs.. We were a party of six and this was ideal space for us.

The apartments are small, so always book the extra size. If you are 4 people, book for 6-7. Then you will really enjoy the accomodation. The spa is only open from 4pm-7pm and is not all that really - very cold swimming pool and the bars are not great. But for self catering, you can't go wrong.

Room Tip: Top tip - book larger rooms and book early to get very good deals.
