We were lucky enough to be in Frejus in Sept. when the crowds have died down and the weather is still fabulous. Opted to try Seb and Chris's establishment on a quiet Thursday night. A few tables of tourists and a few tables of locals filtered in and all seemed to enjoy the evening. Seb was tending the front of the house and was very helpful with the menu. Our main courses consisted of the scallops in a light cream sauce and a black bass grilled to perfection. I was a little skeptical when the scallops came out with the foot still attached to the muscle, but they were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and tender. Both dishes were accompanied by a side of pureed broccoli and cauliflower and potatoes au'gratin. Beautiful presentation of both plates.
Deserts were delightful. Excellent choice for a traditional French meal.

Tiny restaurant tucked away in the corner of town run by two brothers. It has been here since we first came to Frejus four years ago and has only changed in one respect which is that it is even better than it was.

The lunchtime €16 menu was saddle of lamb with mashed potatoes and a ramekin of cauliflower diced with parsley followed by chocolate tart.

The saddle of lamb was succulent, tasty and when I say perfectly cooked it's difficult to describe the terrific flavours.

Accompanied with a perfectly decent glass of Provence wine and a great chocolate tart on a shortbread base wih a layer of praline.

Excuisite quality food, perfectly cooked and served with flair by Sebastian who describes the joints for ' Les Anglais' by pointing at the portion of his anatomy that the joint originates on in the animal. I can't help wondering what he will do if they ever have sweetmeats on the menu!

Worth visiting Frejus for. Packed with discerning locals. You'll have to book on a busy night.

Bon Appetit!

Finding a place to take the in-laws for dinner was a challenge, and this place did the job. As local French residents they are skeptical of many of the tourist-trap restaurants in Frejus & St Raphael. The waiter/owner doesn't try to talk up the food. The menu is limited but what there is, is good. And some is very good. The wine recommendation was honest and worked well with the food.

We went to this restaurant on the basis of the reviews on TA. When we arrived we were greeted by the only person working the front of house presumably one of the brothers.

He seemed like a friendly guy but he simply had too much to do on his own. He could barely speak to us to explain a couple of the dishes as my French is very rusty. He frantically ran around the restaurant the entire time we were there.

It was not a particular enjoyable experience because of the terrible service but the food was tasty. Nothing out of the ordinary but nice. On the whole I would not be rushing back unless this place spent money on another waiter!
